Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe lift didn't work for us on one occasion - seemed to be stuck on another floor. Otherwise no issues during our stay.
Standard rooms were a good size, staff were good at explaining the parking situation. It's great to be able to have a 10:30 check-out, allows a little extra time after breakfast. We enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

United KingdomNothing much to fault, the renovation makes you feel like everything is clean and new. I put do not disturb on when I was getting ready in my room then changed it to ‘please make up my room’ but when I returned in the evening my bed was not made or new towels but it’s not a big deal at all, just maybe good to know the staff only come round in the morning. Would stay there again for sure!
Reception staff were really friendly, the staff in the Vault restaurant were really accommodating when I hadn’t booked in for dinner but wanted to try it even though it was so busy. The morning staff at breakfast were great, very speedy service and delicious food. Great you accommodate vegans & veggies too

United KingdomOur room was on the 3rd floor, we had an excellent view out of our window towards the abbey. Room was a bit tight I think it could have been designed a little better to give us more room. The shower room was very good.
Location was excellent, staff were lovely. The breakfasts were excellent and we also had a meal in the vault restaurant on both evenings, the food was excellent. There has been a lot of changes since we last came but it did not impact on our stay.

United Kingdomthe only downside was yhat it was a very steep climb to the hotel from the centre of town, i have nothing else to tell you.
Everything went well, my room was good, comfortable bed, and the food was exellent,and the hotel was situated 250 yards from the town centre, and plenty if shops near by, and the bus station was within walking distance.

United KingdomThe heating! It's ideal for winter, but the room was a little too warm for my liking. Although the heater was off in the room itself, the heated rail from the bathroom wasn't, and even with the bathroom door closed, you could still feel the heat. Wasn't able to turn it down as there was no switch or anything.
Loved the size of the room, the decor, but most of all the bed. The bed was super comfortable Had a lift to all floors, which was helpful, especially after all those hills I walked up and down. The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel, which meant I didn't need to go back down the hill for a drink or some food. Reasonably priced, too. I was made to feel welcome by all staff, and I felt at home, too.

It’s 18 century and listed , they are trying to get get air conditioning in but don’t let this small detail put you off as it’s 100% fabulous and breakfast and the staff 👌
