No hotel car park. However, there is a car park close by . Which costs about £11 for 24 hours. The hotel provides scratchcards for free on street zone parking but we were unable to find a space near to the hotel.

Clean, refurbished bedroom. Nice restaurant and bar area.The food was very good. Excellent cooked breakfast. Perfect location.

the top of the bed was dusty and the room could have done with a deep clean. the smoke alarm beeped all night too

Rooms are of a very high standard and very comfortable the new reception area is very welcoming and tastefully done, the new vault Restaurant is fabulous . Well done to all involved in the renovations and to the first class staff.

We wanted to eat in the restaurant as we had heard good reviews and it was my husbands birthday celebration. We were being joined by my brother and sister in law, who were also staying at the hotel, and a couple of friends were travelling in to meet us. So, for a table for 6 we had to preorder the day before. Also, we would have to leave the table after 2 hours. This was not acceptable to us so we arranged to eat elsewhere.

The location is perfect, right in the centre of everything. The room was beautiful, recently refurbished to a very high standard.

The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We only had breakfast during our stay and it was very tastey and there was plenty for us. They also mixed and matched items to your liking. The hotel was situated 5 mins walk from the swing bridge. You also get a free on street parking permit and there were plenty of spaces close by.

The only downside was that the windows were very dirty and ruined the view when they were shut. Luckily for us the weather was great and we had them open so it didn't affect our stay.

The room was amazing! Very clean and everything done to a high spec with a fantastic view of the Abbey. We will definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike

We travelled as a group of two couples, and was upgraded to the Captain James Suite. The suite was exceptional, very new and modern. Our bedrooms and en-suite were amazing. Couldn’t praise this hotel enough.

Lack of onsite parking is the only issue for me but even then the local on street parking was fine.

The hotel has been nicely renovated and has a lovely relaxed feel. Our room, The Admirals Suite was very well equipped with nice views. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. The restaurant was great, breakfast was nicely presented and well cooked, our evening meal was of a very high standard. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Parking was not so easy although you do get free parking on some streets from scratch cards of the hotel.

Had to mention to reception that a stool in the room needed attention. (Think somebody heavy had sat on it previously)! Also mattress seemed a bit lumpy - maybe a spring needed attention). These were just minor issues that needed addressing.

Lovely room. Very bright, nice decor & view from room. Excellent breakfast & lovely evening meal. Staff were always helpful, attentive & friendly. Location was on the hill, with shops & bars around & about.

My singular gripe would be that I'd prefer a slightly later option for breakfast - it was till 0945 which just felt a little bit early for me but that's just my personal preference.

The room was lovely, we were in the Discovery Suite and it felt really special. The room felt very fresh and clean, the bed was very comfy, and the facilities were great. All the staff we interacted in were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe was relaxed.
