I didn't have breakfast. Location is excellent. Staff-very nice, like all Scottish people. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Water tap-the old kind, unusual for us.

A hot breakfast is not included or available but you can order pastries. It is a 30 minute walk to the Royal Mile so location is a bit outside the heart of the city center.

The room is wonderfully large and comfortable with beautiful huge windows and 10 foot ceilings! It contains a refrigerator and microwave along with dishes and flatware. A real treat when looking for a break from restaurant fatigue! Spacious parking is available for a small fee.

Had trouble with the TV connecting to the internet services correctly like Netflix, so could only access a few FREEVIW channels, but at the end of the day we weren't staying there to watch Netflix, so really not that much of a deal breaker! :)

The location is ideal for exploring Edinburgh. Private parking, for just a small additional fee. The honesty bar - seen other reviews stating the prices were high for this, in reality they were not, and it has a great supply of items. I'm a big fan of nice hotel showers, this one didn't disappoint. As a professional shower critic and reviewer this scored a solid 9/10.

The rooms were amazing! We stayed in the family suites and loved them. Well decorated and super spacious! The beds were very comfortable also. The staff we encountered were both very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Edinburgh.

Location was perfect, convenient to bus stops and just near Dean Village which was very pretty and relaxing spot. It’s a very quiet area. After a full day of exploring the city, all you just wanted to do is having a nice and relaxing stay and the hotel did not disappoint us. The huge room and all the facilities were exceptional and clean. We also love the honesty shop and how comfortable the lounge room is.

There wasn’t enough milk in the tea making facilities and, although there is a roomy fridge which would be great for longer stays, it’s not always feasible to bring fresh, chilled supplies for a one night theatre stay and I felt the milk from the honesty room was way overpriced

We love that the room was in keeping with traditional decor, good quality furnishings and carpets, beautiful comfortable bedroom. The apartment was very well equipped. The view out to the front of the ground floor apartment was restful and the building is in a peaceful part of town.

The hotel is exceptional, the accommodations and style are excellent, the rooms are quite big, the cleanliness is good, and the bed is pretty comfortable. The service staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, near to everything that you need to know about Edinburgh and the neighborhood is very quiet. Totally recommend!!!

The location was great - a short walk to west end of Princes St. Room was excellent, very big with large ensuite bathroom. Parking was very helpful. Manager (Paul?) was lovely, very helpful and charmingly friendly.
