How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast could have been better. The restaurant closes at 9pm.
The beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel was great too! The staff were very helpful in arranging things we needed without any fuss.

Google directions took us to the back lane, not the entrance! Restaurant on site is too expensive.
Front desk staff were lovely. Good suggestions for places to go and how to get there. Always helpful. Always friendly. Comfortable room. Small, as advertised, but enough space for me and my mum to be comfortable. GREAT location!

The hairdryer was cutting out every few minutes.
Great location for the city centre and friendly staff. Comfy rooms and a nice bathroom. Stevie at breakfast was really helpful when our breakfast hadn’t been registered on his list. I’ve tried to leave him a separate review on Tripadvisor but the QR code isn’t working.

The bathroom in room was small and quite awkwardly placed. We did feel there could’ve been better communication; regarding the wellness facilities, we had mentioned when checking in that we were booked in for 5pm (this was at 4ish) and that would’ve been an appropriate moment to let us know how to get there and to give us the separate key card for this. As we were unaware of the fact we needed a different card, we wasted time finding the area and trying to get in with our card. Once we went to reception and this was resolved. In the morning my partner had went downstairs to ask for toilet roll and the woman at the desk said she would get it sent it up to our room, after awhile and still nothing came up, I called reception and the man was great, let me know he would be bring it soon and was not long at all. At least an hour after this we had housekeeping with more toilet paper, presumably from when my partner had initially went down to ask for it that morning.
The hotel itself has gorgeous interior design and the member of staff at reception was lovely checking us in to our room, giving us complimentary glass of prosecco card and welcoming us. The wellness centre room including the sauna, heated loungers and plunge pool were great and we left feeling relaxed however we had intended to use the gym before assuming it was the same area but you need to book your slots in advance and get a separate key card.

The bed wasn't comfy and they forgot to make our room the first day.
Breakfast and location were fantastic. The bed weren't so comfy and the room was a bit dirty. It looks like they were recently refurbish and not entirely done.

Fantastic hotel with great location, friendly staff and super value. One of the best hotels, where I stayed. We spent our honeymoon there with my wife, extremely great place.

Just lacking a mini fridge!
Great location for visiting the city with really friendly, helpful staff. Our room and bathroom were a good size and spotless. Bed was very comfortable. We were four floors up and didn't have any kind of noise issue, despite facing Renfield Street. Really nice bar area. Breakfast was also very good.

The bathroom was a bit small. You had to manoeuvre between sink and shower cubicle to the toilet. It was a bit cramped.

The breakfast not much choice bacon was raw half cooked sausage egg watery for the standard of hotel the breakfast did not match it needs really looking into to improve it

Internal room meant the view was just of the inner walls but we weren't there to stare out of the window!
Lovely room, extremely friendly staff, great recommendations for local places to eat (Spanish Butcher!!!). Comfy bed. Room had all amenities required. Brilliant location. Very friendly breakfast staff too.

Finding rooms was a bit of a challenge and steps necessary to get to the lift

While the hotel has a back entrance that meets accessibility standards, it is a back entrance in a questionable alley. For handicapped people such as myself, there are many stairs in the lobby and to the room elevators. The owners need to find a fix so that guests in wheelchairs or with canes do not have to go down a dark back alley. The building is a refurbished insurance company. Accessibility should have been a concern during the renovation!
The Address hotel is a first-class boutique hotel in the heart of Glasgow. The hotel has an attentive front desk staff that was one of the best we have encountered in Scotland, perhaps the best.

The hotel is in the heart of the city. We were walking to any attractions and to the train station be foot. The room is big, clean, with iron and hairdryer.
