An historic hotel, with a stylish modern decor, in a great location for Canterbury City.

The breakfast service was confusing (for the staff too) and it took an effort for breakfast to arrive. The staff at the hotel bar could have been better trained.

The hotel is stylish and clean, and in a great location. The room was large, well decorated, in top condition, and with a spacious bathroom.

Being told that herbal tea would incur an additional cost. Thankfully I was not asked to pay for this upon departure

Very close to train station. Warm welcome Friendly staff Lovely vegan breakfast

Bathroom -sink and toilet very tight packed in. Very little wardrobe space but the hotel is old and they had to work around beams etc.

Location was great, staff friendly, breakfast excellent, room was clean and housekeeping good.

Our bedroom was next door to both the road and the pub next door, so not very quiet at night time.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast (made to order) and great proximity to city centre.

The drains were a little smelly in our basin and bath was slow to clear

Friendly staff, high quality facilities and clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of variety and catered well for our gluten free diets

I could only open the fanlight of my window. The main window consisted of a fixed panel of glass. I was concerned what I would do in case of an emergency.

The location was ideal. The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was great. Staff were very professional.

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay - think the only improvement might be if you offered dinner too

Good choice for breakfast, great Fullstaff English 😉very nice fresh orange juice & lovely coffee. All our group enjoyed the breakfast, we had between us.. a vegan breakfast, poached egg & avocado, Fullstaff English. Great cocktail bar & good/cosy areas to sit & chat. Lovely room & good bathroom

Shame there are no evening meals at present, but we understand that they might be offered again soon. There are some amazing restaurants close by, but we wanted to be lazy!

Great location with parking, decor was lovely. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly without exception: reception, breakfast, bar and housekeeping all couldn’t do enough to assist. Our room (23) was lovely and good to have two comfy chairs to use. Bed was very comfortable for us both. Good choices at breakfast. A hotel we’d recommend.

Breakfast could have been better. Plates were cold so any cooked food soon went cold. The helpings were too generous for me and had to leave some which I didn’t like doing. Apart from that there was a good choice . Very enjoyable and would recommend

Chose this hotel because of position and car park. It was a relief to be able to park car at anytime. Everything was in walking distance.

Only negative was that the staff cleaned the tables within the breakfast room whilst the salt, pepper and sugar remained on the tables. Therefore they were covered in cleaner.

Room was more than acceptable. Although the bathroom was a little small it was perfectly adequate. We would have preferred a walk in shower, however the shower over the bath was very good/powerful. A good range of dishes was offered for breakfast which were very good. It was a pleasant dining area. The hotel commands an excellent position with Canterbury. Very nice bar with a good range of drinks including cocktails.

I'm a returning guest. Lovely place. Excellent staff. I missed breakfast by more than half an hour and asked if I could have a coffee, but was served a full English even though it was long past breakfast hours. So friendly.

There was problem with the computerised key system which was resolved halfway through our stay . the range of rooms available on the website probably didn't reflect the total range available.

There was parking available ,and location was excellent. The building had character, although we stayed in an adjoining block. Like having breakfast served rather than a buffet.

The hotel is well located with just a very short walk to the pedestrianised town centre. Rooms have everything you need and are very clean. Breakfast was amazing. The buffet was well presented including fresh OJ and fruits and the cooked breakfast was very good.
