Outdated rooms. The tv didn’t work. The bathrooms need some work. One tap didn’t work. Small shower

The restaurant was fabulous. Such a great meal. The lounge and common areas are well presented. The staff were lovely and friendly. Comfortable beds.

This is obviously an older building and that adds to the character but unfortunately the window in our room was wooden and old and rattled and banged with every blow of wind, meaning not a lot of sleep was had. Normally I sleep through noise but this was quite loud. Possibly just needs something to wedge it to stop the banging

    Clean functional friendly staff

Did not like the room they gave us first as the bath had chips out it and was moved to another room that was a bit better until yesterday when we reported the water as it was pure brown with black bits in it reported at 6.45 and nothing was done until 9ish when Michaela let me in another room to take a shower which by this time breakfast was closing and I couldn’t eat cold food so very very let down with this hotel

The only thing we liked about it was the staff and the beds were clean

Very comforable, good food, handy for the railway station, and the main amenities.

I had to draw attention to the unpleasent odure arising from the washbasin drain hole, which was subsequently attended to.

The Station Hotel is less than a minutes walk from the station, which is no surprise given the name. It is a refurbish railway hotel, the frontage betrays the comfort within. As for my room which was on the 4th floor could have a been large, probably a garrett room originally, with a large chimney breast intruding into the room. Removal would have given much more room for the guest, but it is intrisic to a Victorian ediface. The bathroom was very clean too. As for the restuarant, i was not impressed with the choice of hot food available, only the 'full scottish type' with no kippers or smoked haddock to choose. No Haddock?. In Aberdeen?. The evening dinner service was much better, with a good choice of different styles of cuisine, especially the good quality Asian/Thai influenced dishes, which i enjoyed very much. All in all, i would happily stay there again.

The noise of the radiator pipes burbling and gurgling all night ment I did not sleep well at all. Kept me awake most of the night. Which did spoil my stay somewhat.

A really lovely hotel, we're given a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The staff were lovely and helpful. Great choice of breakfast would meet everyone's needs. Booked a pre event meal in the restaurant which was nice and we didn't have to go looking for a restaurant before going to our event.

Changed room twice due to maintenance issues and still not 100% in our third room. Tepid baked beans and Mushrooms at breakfast and Porridge was good but was not consistent with Menu ingredients. One member of Staff looked miserable and was not friendly or doing much. Louise was however was brilliant. Door card stopped working twice during our stay.

Unfortunately in the bathroom there was some black mould in the grout of the tiles surrounding the bath and the shower curtain was stained at the bottom,

Staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was a good size and had plenty of space for storage, the bed was a little firm for my taste, towels were clean and fluffy and the bath filled up quickly with vey hot water nice to relax in, the location of the Hotel was great very central and for someone who had never been in Aberdeen it was easy to find

Over expensive dated rooms, lack of bar staff for service, rooms have a stale smell as does the hotel. I appreciate it would cost a lot to revamp the large place but it does need it.
