You need a room away from the front of the hotel as traffic noisy all night.

On the whole we had a really good stay at the Station Hotel. No complaints.

Windowless room with no way to control the heat of the room, made it an uncomfortable night with little sleep.

Very happy.

We laughed. Our friend had a double bed. We had 2 singles with a huge cabinet in between but we are 78 years young.room was at the b@ck. large and very warm. Breakfast was excellent as usual.

I would have preferred a bed side lamp! Really awful entering/exiting the building because of the smokers standing almost in the entrance with piles of cigarette butts on the step (these were cleared away by the morning). Not sure what the remedy is, bu this is not pleasant.

A lovely well positioned Old building full of character. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Excellent breakfast choices and a good dinner menu

Room was very warm even though the radiators were turned off. Signage to room was poor making it difficult to locate

Booked late same day as arrival and when we got to the room it was freezing. We did turn radiator up ourselves and reception did offer a blow heater. Breakfast was ok but just ok.

The breakfast is buffet style, but was short of most hot dishes beans, black pudding, fried eggs, juice. This was a bit disappointing the dishes did eventually arrive but we were ready to go by that time and made do with what was there.

In city centre across from main shopping centre. The rooms are spacious and the curtains are blackout.

There was no light working above a mirror in a bathroom. We had a bit of a problem to find out room from the start

Rooms were a bit dated and the floor boards really creaked to the point we were tip toeing to prevent noise but didn’t work as the next room had “No Disturb” well that didn’t happen 🥴 we couldn’t move without creaking 🙈

Directions to find room weren't very clear as our room number didn't seem to be on any boards so we wandered about a bit before we found it. Lack of heating in the room. Radiator didn't work and there was no heating in the bathroom. We could have notified reception but we were only there for 2 nights and not in the room much.

We travelled by train so location right next to the station was ideal. Room was big and very clean. Breakfast room was organised well and wasn't crowded. Reception and waiting staff were very good.

One small thing was that there was no handle or latch on the window so it stayed slightly ajar, but that is the only minor complaint about our stay

The young lady on reception was great and went above and beyond, even to the extent of staying on after her shift to make sure we got our room, wish I'd taken note of her name, room was great too

We had a very old out of date shower and the bath was rusty, I assume we had one of the rooms which has not been fully upgraded. Also found the taps hard to turn off. We also found the room very hot at night

The room was large with new decoration and new beds which were very comfortable. The location was ideal as we were going to the Tivoli for a concert.

The room was very dated and the walls were noticeably dirty (what looked like old nicotine running down the walls) it had polyfiller above the headboard and not painted over or even sanded down. Alot of tiles in the bathroom on the floor were broken, I was scared I was going to break more just by going in. The bed was clean though. For the price I would have expected more. I know its a old building but the room just felt very forgotten about.

I liked that it was so close to the train station, the food they offer is beautiful and the staff I met were all lovely and the bed was very comfortable.

The rooms are very basic no lock for bedroom door socket hanging off the wall if you wanted to use kettle had to put it onto the floor as cable not long enough for socket
