Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWhen I book from booking.com, they did not mention anything you have to pay deposit of £50 pound or deposit £100 which I have already paid 28 pounds for one night from booking.com when I arrived the location they demand you have to pay 50 pounds otherwise we can’t send you the address so I had no other choice. I have to pay the deposit. they don’t send you the full address. They just send you the street and the postcode when you arrive to the location, they will message you. You have to pay 50 pound or 100 pound deposit. If you don’t pay they will not send you to the full address so I think it’s like a trap I don’t recommend it this is my first time I have came up with like this from Booking.com. The toilet and the shower there was not hot water so anyway it was emergency that’s why I stayed if I decided not to pay deposit I will lose my money for a night that’s why I paid it and I stayed don’t have experience like this. I had really bad experience. I will not book again in future in house it’s not hotel. It’s actually house.

Was paid to keep a friend off streets for the night would have normally questioned why this was asked for after already paying and accepting booking however was desperate to keep him safe, warm, and able to get clean.

I liked nothing about the property the staff are more bothered about the money from you rather than your feelings they are not helpful in any way to say the least. I walked after 5 minutes of being in the property it's more like a crack den and that's notva lie the room was freezing due to the heating not working the television didn't work and there was o wardrobes in the room to store your clothes. After walking out and telling the staff about my issues and concerns they told me they would put me in another one of there properties at additional costs on top of what I payed so I booked into a hotel not owned by them and more money spent and South shields central would not give me my money back complete robbers to say the least. If they told me they were keeping my money to go towards the costs to renovate on the property I would not of minded so much like I said complete ROBBERY

Some lights was broken and they was no fire extinguisher even though I told them they didn't fix the problems also I told them about the boiler not working they gave me instructions how to turn it on but it was all done over WhatsApp not once they came out to deal with the problems also the bath plug was broken and the light wasn't working in there too

United Kingdomsorry but I don’t normally leave negative reviews but the whole experience was dodgy we was charged £300 for 1 night in this property which was very expensive but we paid it has it was all we could find close to the Ed Sheehan concert we was going to we then received a whatsapp message the day before asking for a £50 damage deposit which again was strange this wasn’t mentioned at the time of booking and I’ve never had to do this anywhere else, I paid it has I had to option. from then there was no communication the rest of the day, I was anxious enough about the 120 mile drive there but wasn’t given the address or any information on parking or how to get the key. the next morning still no reply to my messages and calls I was feeling very concerned at this point but started driving anyway we was a half way there when finally we received some messages with information, but then another couple of message saying that they hadn’t received my deposit despite me sending them the receipt the day before. finally after a couple more messages they said they’d found the payment and sent me the code to get through the door and the code for the key box, brilliant off we go finally! then we get there and we can’t get in has there have given us the wrong code so have to wait for a reply again. the room it self was fine but the carpets was very grubby and dirty looking the communal areas looks has this they hadn’t been hoovered for months the bathroom walls had something that looked liked feces smeared all over them this was a house with a shared bathroom no lock on the bathroom door and the light didn’t work either a very grim experience from start to finish

To then put the phone down on me he also said to pay then would get key code which I did. For me to have to wait hours to receive a response after paying for the room.

Left right away now having bother getting my full refund. Host had the audacity to offer me 1 half of what I paid. I am contacting police please do not book with these.!!!!
