Issue in the restaurant that was not communicated and left us waiting for 45+ mins before having to speak to reception to get an answer. Car park validation ticket did not work even though followed instructions from reception so had to pay the full wack as not enough time to go back to hotel to sort out.

Location to the AO Arena and parking is perfect. Good size rooms and facilities. Nice comfy bed.

The lighting was really poor in the room, a few spot lights upon entering but only lamps in the main room which meant it was difficult doing makeup and just generally felt very dark... The bed was also very hard and both my partner and me had stiff shoulders whilst staying there.

We arrived very early (11:30) and asked if we could leave our bags in the storage room. The lady on reception actually found us a room for early check in which was welcomed after travelling for the morning :) Staff were so helpful and friendly all round! Thank you!

Bed was OK but the pillows were really thin & only 1 spare so you couldn't both have two pillows. The carpets next to elevators on floor where are room was could do with a decent hoover but apart from that hotel was clean & tidy.

Excellent location for AO arena just across the road & 8 minute walk to shops/Arndale Centre. Superior room was nice & spacious with coffee/tea making facilities. Also made use of the swimming pool, steam room & sauna which were decent & nice bonus to our stay. Staff were friendly & welcoming.

The hotel was very nice and clean but it was very much overpriced. For the price we paid I think breakfast should be included.

We had no tv for the evening of our stay due to a WiFi issue in the hotel. We had arrived early to relax in the room before going out but spent most of the time trying to get it to work before being told it was a hotel issue.

Carpet needs a thorough cleaning because somebody has been sick or spilt something at the head of the bed on the floor. Not very nice to see or look at.

The bar closed at 10.30 even though people were about & wanting a drink. Other hotels I have stayed in usually leave the bar open till at least 11 pm & normally serve while people still want a drink. Unfortunately there are no bars or cafes in the immediate vicinity.

The hotel was close to the venue we were visiting. Breakfast was good although a little on the cool side. Reasonably clean on the whole pretty good

We found the bed very uncomfortable. Mattress was very hard and pillows were quite stiff. I understand people have different needs/comforts however, the mattress caused a night of little sleep.

Property was in great location. Everything you needed was a small walk or short drive away. Although there is no onsite parking, hotel offers discount at large, secure parking facility across the road. Rooms were of high standards and were different to those I’ve stayed in before - addition of LED lights around bed, high standard toiletries and plenty of space! Rooms were quiet and there was little-to-no traffic noise. All staff were so very helpful and welcoming! Fab range of snacks in lobby and very smooth check in/out process.

There was a very strange smell on the room on arrival - a little like smelly socks! There was one small bottle of water in a double room, whilst friends of ours had 2 bottles and biscuits.

Had our evening meal here - big mistake! Couldn’t cope with my - admittedly extensive - food intolerances. In the end, ordered chips which were clearly the end of a frozen pack and not even hot. Asked for gluten free bread - first told they didn’t have it, so asked about breakfast. Then they found some for me. Had to ask for butter. Was then charged £5 for two small slices of GF bread and 2 small pats of butter. My partner's meal was no better - a very sorry-for-itself burger with a slice of processed cheese, a lettuce leaf and a ring of red onion. The chips were the same as mine. All very unappetising and pricey for what it was - McDonald’s would have been much better. Unfortunately we were in a hurry to go to a show, otherwise we'd have sent it all back and gone elsewhere. Breakfast was ok - a typical hotel buffet breakfast. GF bread (same as last night) with separate toaster, and GF muesli and cornflakes.
