How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

TV didn't work even though a nice technician tried to fix it. They were having the Internet connection updated. I explained a few things that needed attention on checkout and they asked me to email them and it would go to management. Nothing back.
The location for the AO Arena was perfect. The staff were great.

Unfortunately this time it was hot weather and the air-conditioning unit had a fault code for low coolant and wouldn't work and the device streaming service on the TV was unavailable

the rooms were a little run down, in our first room, the tv didn’t work and the headboard on the bed was broken. the room smelt overly of bleach and you couldn’t open the window to air it out. they changed our room and gave up free breakfast for the inconvenience. the food was okay, a little expensive though (£3.95 for a bottle of water😅) as for the pool and spa, it was very much okay. the facilities were clean albeit very basic. there were no treatments available for the duration of our stay which was disappointing and there were swimming lessons being held in the pool whilst we were there too which was not very relaxing.
amazing location for going to our concert and having a wander around the city!

The room smelled weird when I came in not sure if its the cleaning products but it was quite strong!
Pool was lovely, breakfast was good. But the scrambled eggs looked rubbery.

Restaurant was closed early, it would have been great to be able to have a drink and hot food until around mid night.
The location was perfect, the facilities were great and ideal for us. The carpark was so handy and the discount from the hotel made it great value.

Super close to AO arena where we went to watch the Hans Zimmer concert. Was super comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend it.

It's Park Inn, it has all the disadvantages that the Park Inn franchise has (first and foremost - price).
Spacious room, although it is not "large". Enough space for 2 people. Good gym and steam room. Nice location, 10 minutes from the city centre.

Things in the room didn’t work, empty boxes, scruffy bed. Busy road and a walk into town. Nowhere very local to pop too. Staff bit impersonable. No obvious vegan options at breakfast.
Good location at the top of town by the station. Spacious room, comfy and clean beds. Nice pool and leisure facilities. Quiet room. Plentiful buffet breakfast.

No car parking, parking at AO arena car park is discounted only if you leave the car there >12 hours. So for example, staying for 4 hours costs £12 and >12 hours = £13. Only worthwhile if you leave your car there for more than 12 hours! Car park is across the road and can be hassle getting in if there is an event at the arena. TV didn’t connect to the phone to play Netflix etc although the tv says it would/should. Breakfast is overpriced and drinks/snacks from lobby are extortion prices!
Swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym included! Rooms were a good size! Cosy and comfortable rooms. Reception staff were very helpful and nice. Got my little one a cot which wasn’t already in the room within hours of arrival!

The tele didn't work very well, minimal channels worked. I had read the rooms had access to Netflix but this wasn't the case. They weights gym was a small area but manageable.
Staff were professional and helpful. The hotel was really clean and smelt very nice throughout the lobby and corridors. The room was a good size and clean.

Bar shut very early, extra pillows on the bed would have been good, pretty pricey for an overnight stay as well.
Good pool / spa facilities and good size rooms. Decent location round the corner from Victoria train station.
