The bedrooms are quite dated and very hot. AC didn’t work. It was very noisy, didn’t get much sleep.

Social areas really modern and comfortable. Staff very friendly.

Lighting in the room wasn't great, very yellow, could have done with more 'natural' light light bulbs. I couldn't get the air conditioning to work, therefore the room was overly warm during the night.

The location was great for what we needed.

The room layout was a little odd, with the toilet separate from the bathroom (I don't like having to touch lots of doors before washing my hands!) I also felt that the bathroom and the doors opening next to the bed lacked a little privacy, which for a couple is probably fine, but for a family would have been an issue if we were there longer than one night.

This hotel is in a great location and in walking distance of the arena. There were 3 of us in an executive room. The decor was nice, and the room was comfortable. There were lots of options for breakfast.

This was our first stay at this hotel, but it certainly won't be the last! We were met with a lovely, bright lobby and an equally lovely, bright, welcoming young man on Reception. Our room was modern, clean, and spacious with a sofabed, and the mini-fridge was very useful. We found the bed very comfortable. I suffer from lower back pain, especially upon waking, but I didn't experience any back pain at all in this bed. The hotel is perfectly situated for the Utilita Arena, which was only a short 7-8 minute walk away, and this Novotel will now always be our 'go to' hotel for any events held there. There was a lot of outdoor noise coming from weekend party revellers, but that's to be expected, given the hotel's location. However, free, disposable foam earplugs were available from Reception if needed. There was an impressive selection of food choices for breakfast, and the food quality was excellent and so delicious! The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. The car park under the hotel is quite small, so would recommend getting there early to ensure you get a space.

Not many sockets in the room. The toilet was in a separate room which had advantages but that meant that if someone was in the bathroom you couldn’t wash your hands. Only 2 mugs and 2 sachets of sugar provided for 3 people although we did get another 2 from reception on request.

The hotel was very modern and well presented. Staff were helpful and friendly with exceptional service in the dining room where the food was of a high standard. The room was clean and had plenty of towels and toiletries provided. There is a small car park under the hotel which was convenient.

There was carpets stains in our room and what looked like a cigarette burn on the side of the bath.

Location close to utilita and pubs/bars etc. Didn't use a taxi as everything was in walking distance of the hotel.

The toilet fan was a bit noisy but that was only a little issue as there was 2 doors we could shut to drown it out. The air con wasn't very good either and it got a bit stuffy in the room and you can't open the windows
