The hotel was unfinished..stuff all over the place. Scaffolding outside and only told this after we paid and the night before. Door key did not work. The few issues we had were dealt with quickly and politely. No cups or glasses. No bedside cabinet but all resolved. Just small things which with thought could be avoided. Think the room was out together in a hurry! Sure will be nice once complete.!

The location was convenient for everything. Bed in superior room was very comfortable. Decor nice in room. Breakfast was fair and quick. But paper cups for juice, really?

Hotel in the middle of refurbishment - thankfully, they did prewarn us about the scaffolding, so we kept our curtains shut. Hallways and stairs were dingy, and reception was sometimes in darkness and looked unwelcoming because of that - staff were lovely, though. Dated carpets and old paintwork in common areas had splashes of paint on them, and each day, there was a pile of furniture in a different place that could be seen from the reception and breakfast area, just made it look untidy.

Nice room and comfortable bed. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast provided.

The only one minor issue was that the hotel has been under refurbishment so you could see some paint stains etc ... but we got a newly refurbished room, so it's in progress and it will be great.

We got a newly refurbished room, spacious, great location, nice staff

We were emailed before we set off that scaffolding was up & sorry for the inconvenience. That was good to know before & it wasn’t an inconvenience. It’s obviously going thur a full refurbished uplift the furniture in the room was abit dated but the shower / bath had been updated & was fresh n clean

The bedding was fresh & clean. The breakfast was nice & hot. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Lovely hotel - need fans in summer no aircon

There is no aircon so owners really need to look at putting fans in rooms. It was unbearably hot and although window could open - there was no air coming in so had a bad nights sleep all in all. Breakfast was nice if not small. Staff need training as waiting too long for them to come over and ask if we even wanted tea or coffee. Had to try and wave someone over for everything. Maybe its new owners - so hopefully these things will improve given a bit of time. We would give it another try in the future

Few minutes walk to sea front which was great. Very tidy hotel and obviously family owned and run. Nice atmosphere

The hotel does have a traditional UK seaside feel to it which is nice, however it does feel a little aged and could do with some modernization. Swapping traditional keys for key cards would handy. It would be nice to have more information on check-in, such as where the breakfast would be or the wi-fi password. Our room seemed to be at the back of the building and the wi-fi was a little patchy - maybe some extenders would help?

The location was good and easy to find, close to lots of restaurants/bars and the seafront. Check-in and check out was very quick and easy. The room was also a good size complete with en-suite. The breakfast was also enough to fill you up.

it was a bit tired in terms of decor and our room was quite small, perfect for one night. it was ridiculously hot and when we turned the radiator down the knob came off! and the window was a safety window and only opened a smidge. the mattress was old and saggy but again ok for one night.

the staff were very attentive and polite. you can buy a parking permit for £2 which lasts 24 hours. it is dog friendly which was perfect for us. the breakfast choice was great and my husband had the full English which he said was superb

Probably needs some updating in the communal areas and some re decoration but our room had clearly been updated so perhaps this will occur over time, but everything kept clean, neat and tidy.

Friendly staff, nice room, excellent location, really good breakfast and made you feel very welcome.
