Great location in the middle of old town. If you rent a car, there is underground parking right in front of the building that you can book in the hotel. Very clean and staff super helpfull.

Could use more insulation …. Upstairs guests really stomped around every night I was there.

Very good location to see the city. I arrived after reception but their instructions for access was perfect and I had no issues. Decent breakfast every morning. Staff was friendly and helpful, recommending a great restaurant and letting me store my bag my final morning before going to the airport.

When we checked out at 12,our flight was not till 8pm. It would have been nice to have somewhere to wait I.e. the lounge by the breakfast room,which we were told was locked . Luckily we found out that downstairs was a disabled toilet which was large and so we could change in there,otherwise we thought the reception staff very friendly and helpful to a point,we will be back as we thought the accommodation excellent,shame about not been able to have a proper place to change into clothes for flying. But that was us not the staff.thank you all again for a lovely stay breakfast was very good.next time we will book a balcony apartment.

It was so comfy and good shower. Also it is so close to many restaurants especially Londra Restaurant,we ate there almost every night.and just round the corner too.

The check in was easy (we got the gate codes in advance) The room is clean with a small terrace and refrigerator. It was a very nice gesture to receive a small madeira's bottle of wine and cookies. The breakfast was plentiful, the city center is a few minutes' walk away. The staff are friendly and will help you book parking.

Beds are quite hard and room is a bit stuffy when you enter (like no air flow). They could also make the room a little more “homey” like add a rug or something :)

The breakfast was ok but lacked variation. A better choice of cereals and bread is desirable and perhaps some hot/cooked food.

We found the Wi-Fi to be very hit and miss. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The hotel is very small, only 12 rooms so there is no real lounge or communal facility.

Our room was spacious and ultra clean. The shower was hot, the bed very comfortable and there was loads of storage space. We had a balcony which was good although the view from it was less than inspiring; just some crumbling brick walls. Breakfast was good. Members of staff were very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack of Madeira wine and local cake was lovely and we had a hostess tray with make it yourself drinks in the room as well. The position of the hotel in the old town was perfect being near to bars, restaurants, airport buses, museums etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
