I have stayed here about 4 years ago but it is now beginning to look shabby both inside and outside. Rendering is falling off and the paintwork is peeling on the external timber. It is OK for a stopover but wouldn't be my first choice.

Location and parking are great, breakfast was good with a large selection of hot and cold food.

The bedroom needed a blind/blackout blind.

Location was great. Bar on 3rd floor lets you look back on the Munro’s (mountains) over Crianlarich.

Nothing apart from the incredibly hot water (there are notices about this to be fair), which meant I had to be patient to wait for my bath! Run plenty of cold with the hot if having a bath!

Great views from the hotel. Comfortable room. Helpful and polite staff.

We had booked for B&B and evening meal. The evening meal was utterly atrocious! The restaurant was very quiet, only 2 other tables. Our main course arrived and all 4 dishes were cold. We sent it back and they must have put in the microwave for about 30 seconds, it was still cold! We sent it back again and they just added about 3 hot chips on top of the cold ones! We then complained and I asked for completely new meals as 2 were chicken and we didn’t want to end up ill. We got 2 new meals and 2 that we suspect had been warmed again and added to a little. Throughout this the waiting on staff were lovely and polite but it was really not acceptable and spoilt our overall stay. A lady at another table complained (loudly) about her cold food too and she was offered a free pizza, we were not offered anything at all. It was a shame because the location and everything else about the hotel was good but I’m afraid we wouldn’t book again.

The hotel was well presented and the rooms were spacious and nice.

Nothing to dislike, just a bit tired.

The location was good for us as we were travelling and wanted to stay away from the larger towns, a nice outlook, and the room was large and comfortable. The hotel was nice enough and the staff were good, but it was a bit tired and in need of an upgrade.

The fire alarms in the rooms are very sensitive to steam which you are warned about at check in. It appears another occupant didn’t understand this causing the fire alarm to go off at 6:40am waking all guests by leaving the bathroom door open post shower.

Really friendly staff at check in, the bar and at breakfast. Excellent stop for the end of our NC500 route. In early April appeared as if fairly vacant before the start of season. Comfortable beds. Delicious and vast spread for self serve breakfast buffet. Bar area open till 11pm with air hockey, table tennis and pool table available with no charge.

It was a little dated and lacked a drying room. As it attracts walkers, a drying room is essential.

Duvet was quite light and there did not appear to be an extra blanket. Fruit at breakfast was more tinned dessert fruit rather than grapefruit and prunes which are more traditional at breakfast. The food in the buffet breakfast was all covered and this meant that the bacon and sausages retained no crispiness and were more like steamed. I thought the area where you made toast for yourself was dangerous as there were extension cables which could be tripped over.

Very helpful person on reception. Room was compact but comfortable.

The walls are pretty thin so if you’ve had some back luck and your neighbours are loud talkers, you can hear them clearly through the walls.

The location of the hotel was perfect, very central to Tyndrum and great for walking the West Highland Way. We had a great view of the woods!
