Good location for a golf holiday when travelling with cars. Excellent breakfast choice.

It’s very stately, close enough but far enough from the city center. The staff was incredibly pleasant, helpful and made our stay fantastic. At the last minute they accommodated our request to stay an extra night without requiring a room change.

The Internet in the annex, where our room was located, was almost unusable. When we talked with the staff twice about it, they said that we should connect while in the main building first, then it would work fine. We tried that, it didn’t work. We received the same response the next day when we asked about it again. They never tried to fix it or address the issue.

The location was great. Breakfast was amazing. The staff during breakfast was great.

The pillows were rocks and I went to the manager who promptly found a couple of feather pillows for me. Great service overall. I also liked the location and grounds. Great stay!!!

Breakfast was a challenge for the staff as the stove wasn't working and they could not properly prepare breakfast and one of the staff didn't show up. The staff lead (Julia) was exceptional in trying to compensate and it was obvious that she was concerned about delivering quality food for the guests.

We were notified in advance that dinner would not be available for our stay. While i was prepared to pay the price for B, B & dinner this was only because i had had difficulty finding other suitable accommodation in the area on the Booking.com website. All of that i accept but what i did not like was that no reason was given for the lack of evening meal which would have been a matter of courtesy and also that no discount was offered on the original price at the time of booking, at least 10% say, in recognition of the fact that the original description on the booking.com website had advertised the room on the basis of B, B and evening meal. Clearly i had the opportunity to cancel my booking but in the absence of anything else that met our requirements in terms of the location and room type my choice in practice was to either stick with the booking, for which i paid the B, B & dinner rate presumably or cancel my holiday entirely. As i say, at the very least an explanation for the absence of dinner would have been a courtesy and a discount on the price would have been appreciated.

Breakfast was very good, the staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel and the room were well equipped, spacious and comfortable.

Lovely staff Julia and Caitlyn where very helpful. Great location and lovely breakfast. The room was nice and clean and the bed comfortable. For the vibe of the place the bathroom in particular, although functional and clean, could do with some modernisation to make it in keeping with the high quality of everything else.

No evening meals. Was so looking forward to a dinner, even a bar meal but no food in evening. We come from Skye and understand the situation with staff shortages. Even soup and sandwich would be something as so far away from Town or other eateries. We should have checked but there due to family member in Hospital so pre-occupied .

Bed too hard and comforter too heavy.

Friendly helpful staff. Spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast optional but well worth the low additional cost, with buffet and hot menu options. Plenty of free parking.

Shortly before our stay we received a note that the hotel was operated as a B&B and the restaurant was not operational. However price wise we still paid the same amount than originally quoted
