How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast wasn’t great for the cost! Room was really hot aswell despite window open (as much as we could with noise outside) and air con on

On the whole we had a very enjoyable experience. Very central location and really couldn't fault anything. Only thing that could have been improved would be to have more gluten free options in bar menu.
Room was very quiet even being in front part of building. Room was very clean and very comfortable bed. Breakfast for coeliacs was delicious and waitress was very helpful. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, even booking a tour for us. Location was excellent for shopping, just a short walk away to main shopping centres.

The toilets off the main reception area were not very clean.
We didn't have breakfast as the queue was too long on the morning of our stay.

We left the door hanger on the door for our room to be cleaned in the morning and when we got back to the hotel after a day of travelling around Belfast, our door was left open by the cleaner! Thankfully none of our valuables were gone but this really annoyed us both as anyone could have walked in and took what they wanted! This really put a massive downer on our experience here!!! Another thing that we found a problem here, which was only something small, was how our phones didnt have any signal at all in our room and only for being able to connect to wifi we wouldnt be able to us our phones. When we walked out of our room we had normal signal and as soon as we went back into the room it was gone.
The reception staff and the food was the things we liked the most at this hotel. Parking was only a short walk away which was so handy.

The breakfast was terrible food undercooked, coffee/toaster machine not working making long queues. Queues to actually get a table on certain days. Also reception was slow due to queues.

There were chips taken out of the toilet and there was a fairly big stain on our bedroom carpet

No real issues - the shower could have been a bit better and the room was very warm.
Great location - very convenient. Room was comfortable and the staff were really friendly. It was really near the bus station which was great for transport to the airport.

Very loud with hen/stag parties later in the week. Breakfast was nice but chaotic in the restaurant area. Hotel rooms at night were far to hot even with radiators off!

11am is very early for check out
Great central location. Nice bar downstairs with good food menu aswel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Lovely buffet breakfast.

Breakfast not enough staff. Had to ask for bowls, cups and glasses. No orange juice at one point. When we checked out we left our luggage as flight later in day. Told it would be stored securely. On our return we found it sitting outside breakfast room.

No handshower so impossible to shower and not wet your hair (no shower caps provided). Need to put hooks or a rail in the bathroom for towels. There's no where to put them.
Fantastic location, comfortable large room, lovely bed. Bedding is fabulous too. Friendly, efficient staff.

Some rooms let the noise travel, and we had a wedding party staying. So it was a bit noisy in the evening. But not too loud
