The room didn't have the best lighting..with no ceiling light other than at the entrance door...my partner is partially sighted and this was not great as the lamp in the room did not provide enough light for him to confidently move around. We only had one bath towel in our room, which was a little annoying. Due to the reconstruction breakfast was being served from the main entrance and we then had to take it to our room..thus was less than ideal and for the money spend was a little disappointing however I am sure once the refurbishment is over it will be more accommodating.

The room was newly decorated and very clean. The free minibar was a nice touch. The balcony was great, we loved being able to get some fresh air.

All in all a great stay in a conmfortable room with a great shower. Good communication about the refurbishment works being carried out. We never got to try the restaurant, but there are plenty local to the hotel.

Unfortunately due to the refurb works room was allocated after 3rd attempt. The signage on the car park is terrible looks like deliveries only for the top floor car park, not clear at all for hotel guests and finally housekeeping had forgotten to dust ( this was rectified by the manager on duty )

I said this the last time I went but... the loo roll is awful. Far too thin for a top end hotel! Marked facilities down slightly due to refurbishment work (which I was made aware of before my stay) but couldn't give full marks when it didn't have everything available. Otherwise a top hotel and I really love it!!

Access is difficult. Climbing steps to get into the hotel. No ramp or lift. Wheelchair users must find it impossible and demeaning. The lifts were regularly out of order too.

The room was very warm, used the aircon during the night to cool room down. Resolved issue. Had breakfast served in room. Unfortunately a few items not on the tray and cooked food was luke warm. First time I have requested this service. Not sure I'd try it again.
