The look of the hotel from the outside is poor. The hotel is located in a busy leisure area, cinema, bowling restaurants etc which I hadn't realised. I understand it’s a budget hotel but the room felt less than this. The bed was very hard, the pillows were uncomfortable foam type. I didn’t get any sleep. The room was looking ‘tired’ needs decorating. No carpets in these rooms so flooring is hard and cold underfoot. Could hear toilets being flushed in other rooms and doors closing from outside in corridor. I arrived early at about 1.30pm and to get a room earlier than the stated 3.00pm check- in there was a charge of £10. I’ve never been asked to pay for an early check-in if rooms are available.

The lift system is a bit confusing. TV didn't work but wasn't really needed. It was a bit noisy in the night, but I reported this in the morning and staff were very supportive. Smoking / vaping at hotel entrance.

Free parking on site, just park, then at check in fill in car details. Very friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable. Black out blind and windows shut off road noise. Plenty hot water and strong shower. Perfect temperature of room. Tea and coffee available in reception.

We were three people sharing one room. There were only two plug sockets so charging we could not all have our phones on charge. One more plug socket would have been good.

The lift system between the hotel and the carpark was confusing for me - there were 3 lifts, all appeared to go to the same places and you were only supposed to use one? It also had two sets of buttons for each floor and I did struggle to find my way out of the hotel, but these were all very small inconveniences. Also, the shower was separated from the room by a frosted glass panel with a hole for the handle, so my friend and I took turns walking the hallway while the other showered.

It was really convenient to just rock up on the day to a clean room, with all the necessities at a good price. The hotel also provided other amenities in the communal area. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our questions and requirements.

Morning staff friendly but a bit scruffy and cleaner having a ciggie outside whilst I waited for a taxi.
