shower pressure was bad in the bathroom, lots of dirty vents and creaky floors in the building. It needs a serious paint job and refurbishing in certain areas. breakfast is expensive too.

Our room wasn't made up the 1st day, there seemed to be a lack of staff, those that were working were flat out non stop, a credit to Marriot for continuing to graft under difficult conditions. I guess this is a feature with most hospitality businesses these days, perhaps come up with a novel way to reduce the customers expectations.

Great location, staff available were very friendly and helpful

I did not like the parking, hardly any ad paces, hadcyo park a little further, and the roads are narrow to manoeuvre the car and parking is extremely expensive. Ty he breakfastscare nice but expensive too.

The beds are extremely comfotable and the rooms are re very clean and spacious.

The floorboards are very noisy and one can hear every footstep taken above. The breakfast is average for the price. Only filter coffee and tea are included. I did not like that I had to leave the hotel and cross the car park to get to my room. There was an indoor route which meant we had to take two different lifts and stairs.

Very comfortable bed and spacious room. The hotel features have been warranted while the hotel has been restored beautifully. Beautiful views by the sea.

We had a lovely room and the hotel was very accommodating!! There was a draining problem with our bathroom, when we moved the top of the drain cover it was full of hair and debris and wasn't allowing the drainage of water from the shower I did report this to the front desk

The rooms are a little tired but the bed was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful in quickly relocating us when there was a leak in the ceiling.

We met friends and when we decided to stay for dinner to watch the rugby, the staff went out of their way to make sure we could do both. Very friendly.

I did expect a modernised room in an old historic hotel. We stayed in the cottages. This has a very gloomy dilapidated entrance with a cold hallway with old carpets, heating not turned on and very creaky stairs. The room however was very warm with heating supplied by plug in radiators. It seemed the heating wasn't working hence the cold hallway. The room was clean and cosy. It felt more like a pub bed and breakfast though rather than a big chain hotel. Lack of modern facilities that I expect in a big chain hotel, eg plugs by the bed, power point cable points for phone, walk in shower. The shower was a step in the bath job with a shower curtain. All very clean but old fashioned so I felt disappointed. There was no milk on the tea tray. Only two cans of water in the mini bar. Also disappointed I had to pay for parking in the hotel car park which was reduced to £12 as I joined the Marriot point scheme.

Very friendly, welcoming and happy staff which included reception, dining room and cleaning. Especially the young women cooking eggs. She was fantastic, friendly and chatty. Great quality products for breakfast with plenty of choice. Liked the drinks served and not a machine. Beautiful views. Warm, lovely furnished and cosy communal areas. Good parking areas eg secure and plentiful. Fabulous comfortable big bed with crisp clean linen and puffy pillows.

The walls are very thin so can hear our next doors tv on all night!!! Could also hear people in the corridor almost like they're in the room. Daily parking is also a bit expensive. Rooms need a little update.

The hotel is in the perfect location, with beautiful views. Our room was spacious and clean, though there was a small stain on one on the bedsheets.
