Duck poo on the lawn. If there in summer then I couldn’t see any way to swim in the lake as the jetty is unusable.

Wonderful location. Comfortable. All the facilities we needed. This is an isolated location which was great for us but not might suit all.

It would be nice to have a moveable net curtain to allow some privacy from the communal lawn out front.

Great views across Lake Taupo and in a secluded quiet location. There were good restaurants nearby (we especially liked Valentino's in Turangi) and wonderful walks all around (the walk around Lake Rotoaira is short but picturesque).

There was a strong odor from the bathroom within our room. I believe it was coming from the sink and it was very noticeable when you walk in the door. That would be my only criticism of the location.

It was very easy to access the room and get unpacked. The view was great and the bed was very comfortable. Be aware that there are a few restaurants and a gas station about 10 minutes away but overall there is not too much close to this location. If you want to be 'off the grid', this is your location.

Lovely location on the lake & perfect spot to return to after walking the Tongariro Crossing. An enjoyable stay with friends, where we each had our own unit. Large, hot shower was a perfect finish to the day.

Some areas with less use could be more clean.

Super good location, responsive and helpful hosts and a beautiful view of the lake from every lodge. The hosts were careful to inform us about road work that could impact us in advance. Nice to have complimentary items for the guests.

Upon arrival our unit was not as clean as we would have expected. However, after speaking to the only on-site member of staff, we were moved to another unit where we felt more comfortable. Once we got over this initial issue, we had a lovely stay at Braxmere.

Small parking place for long car, parking was a challenge. It was written on a booking.com that there is a laundry. No, there is no laundry at all. It is dedicated houses, there is no staff in the evening. Only houses - in case of any problem - you have to wait.

The location is a little remote, and a car is needed to get about, but the views easily make up for this! There was quite a big sticker on one of the patio doors with the name of the unit, which obscured the view from the sofa and it would have been nicer if it wasn't there, as it probably wasn't needed. The parking (we were in unit 1) was a little tight. We found it best to reverse in the drive and into the space. When we pulled the curtain over the door, there was unfortunately evidence of bird droppings on the curtain where a bird must have got in through the patio doors - however, with the curtain open, there is probably no way the cleaners would have spotted it, so really not their fault. There were quite a few dead flies on the ceiling where they had been swatted. All in all, this was a great little retreat, and maybe don't t let the small details put you off booking if you want somewhere to sit and relax for a couple of days with a stunning view.

The location on the waterfront is stunning. Even the view out of the bedroom window was amazing. The communication from the owners/management about how to access the property was all done by email and accurate and easy to follow. (It is worth noting that there are no staff on site, and all communication is either by email or you can call them. It was not an issue for us, but we thought it was worth mentioning). The apartment was well equipped with everything you need for self-catering. No oven, but two hot plates and a microwave, a toaster, and a sandwich maker. A large fridge and freezer. Plenty of hot water and comfy beds.

Unfortunately since our last stay the reception/restaurant have closed which detracts from the ambience. It was on our list of places to return to, it did not disappoint.
