Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomPossibly the limited choice of menu in the restaurant in the evening . We ate in two nights and whilst the food was very good we were limited and would certainly have eaten out had we stayed another night.
The bedroom was large, bright and very clean. The bathroom was well equipped with plenty of clean towels. We had an issue with hot water on our last day but the hotel were aware and were dealing with it. The breakfast was excellent but what made it for us was how friendly all the staff were. A special mention to the lady on reception who could not do more to help. We will definitely stay again.

United KingdomAs I said previously I did not find the bed very comfortable but that is my opinion as my husband found it to be very comfortable. Apart from this I could not find any other negatives about this hotel
The hotel was beautiful, luxurious and spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming (not like other 4 and 5* hotels we've stayed in previously). The rooms are large and very clean and have all the amenities from tea and coffee making facilities to mini fridge. The only negative I have about this hotel is that the bed even though a super king size was not very comfortable. However this is my opinion only as my husband found the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, self service with a mixture of continental and hot food. The location is within walking distance to shops and bars and had parking on site (small charge). Overall we found this to be an excellent hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone taking a trip to Edgbaston Birmingham.

United KingdomAbsolutely perfect hotel, not one thing could have been improved on. We make the trip every year as a girls weekend and we usually stay at another hotel but it was fully booked and we specifically wanted a room where all 4 of us could stay together so thought we would try this hotel. We were a little worried about parking as a lot of reviews said limited parking but there was plenty of parking, we had no problem getting a space even when we kept going out. The hotel itself is gorgeous, well decorated and maintained giving a very luxurious feel. The room was extremely spacious and clean, the aircon/heating worked well and the pillows for the beds were comfortable - I usually bring my own pillow because I have issues sleeping on others but I didn’t even need to use my own. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room, a large tv which got a lot of channels. The bathroom was clean and spacious, with all toiletries supplied. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, we couldn’t fault the hotel at all. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice (full English, fresh fruit, cereals and pastries) and a nice dining area. The location was perfect, close to the city centre but not noisy from the nightlife. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

United KingdomNoise level from outside. Windows need to be sealed a little more as we could hear everything but know we were located in the centre of Bham. . Room overall was very clean however lightening was poor. As a group of friends who needed lighting for makeup this was very poor.
The size and space of the room was great. Very comfy and all friends staying were able to find a space to get ready. Celebrating a birthday which they provided a cake for us. Was lovely surprise on arrival. Checked in very quickly and our room was ready in advance of our time which helped us to settle before heading out for our birthday activities.

United KingdomThe Rude night receptionist who made me feel uncomfortable to come downstairs the next day. I unfortunately have to disclose the horror of me being questioned when entering the property early hours (visited Broad street for the first time) of the morning with a non-staying guest which we sat in the foyer. The manager on site was extremely aggressive and was shouting at me asking me what am I doing here and I showed my room key & stated I do you have a room here and carried on about my business. I sat in the foyer area bit, continuing small talk, the manager of the night was making me very uncomfortable because he kept on bellowing across the foyer. At this point, I can see he's extremely annoyed about something else, but unfortunately I couldn't put my finger on it What my room number was at this time, I had a bit to drink and I was really tired and just wanted to have a talk with my friend and then eventually, Go to my room and relax and sleep after l'd blurted out my room number which I didn't really want to do, but the guy did not stop shouting and are trying to approach me. He then was screaming at me asking me what my name was at this point, l've never experienced such weirdo minuscule harassment in my life. I am of a mature age and don't expect to be treated with such disrespect, this was beyond ridiculous at this point and I made a complaint which I got told 'it would be taken care of, not a word from anyone to apologise
The property entrance was very inviting there was enough car parking space, even though we arrived two hours after check-in time. The receptionist greeted us well and was very kind
