“I like the Atlantic, it seems disloyal of me to find anything to criticise as I've been calling there for many years now, usually on a short-notice whim, and it's a good no-frills place to stay in the heart of the town. The rooms are always good, better if you get a seaview (which I didn't) but I use hotels as sleeping and bathroom only, I usually eat out for every meal so, once established, as long as the bed is there for me to fall into, brilliant. I don't need spa facilities, free gowns or minibar, so it suits me down to the ground. Getting parked safely closeby can be a problem, too many boy racers doing doughnuts round the town these days and indeed I was woken in the early hours by someone very noisily revving their car outside in the street, but that's a minor point. Otherwise just as I expected - a night's stay in a convenient and comfortable spot.”
