Nothing to dislike apart from the fault of our Sat Nav that kept sending us round in circles for twenty minutes. The lady at reception said to use the Waze app for directions!

Within easy walking distance to the centre of La Rochelle. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. There was also plenty of secure parking which is a big bonus. Our dog enjoyed the stay too!

I found it difficult to navigate the town from the hotel with young children and taxis' are not really used here. It would be great if the hotel had prams or buggys available to rent/loan or a small shuttle service into the central square.

We stayed one night to explore La Rochelle, the pool was lovely - small but refreshing, service was good and lunch and drinks nice, hotel prices but still good quality. The room for the four of us was a squeeze, it was not very up to date but was clean and fine for one night. The town is a good 15 minute walk with kids and the whole area mostly pedestrianised with lovely parks with animals just round the corner. Bring a pram or be prepared to walk lots.

Easy access, easy booking and good location 10 minutes from harbour. Loads of secure parking which was great as we have surf boards and bikes on our van.

Good location within walking distance of the city and sights and nice to have a pool to use and relax by on a warm afternoon. Breakfast was fine. Nice breads, juices, coffee.

The bed was very wide fortunately as at either side it felt like that there was a hole (where people were sitting). The USB socket on one side of the bed wasn’t working and the side tables were tiny. The bed was placed very close to the bathroom doors and there was a lot of room on the other side of the bed. The breakfast, although very good, seemed pricey.

The location was excellent, close to the old port, the lovely ‘green spaces’, and the town. It was clean, quite comfortable, had a pool (we arrived on the hottest day of the year), parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a table and two chairs (many hotels only provide one chair). There was a kettle and mini fridge and we liked that the toilet was separate from the bathroom.

Air conditioning didn’t seem to be working

The staff at this hotel were amazing and so helpful and polite. Very different to the other two hotels we had stayed in during the week. You can always rely on a Novotel hotel.

The aircon is not functioning well to to cool the room. The room is small for 2 adults & 2 kids. The stairs has a smell due to the unclean carpet I assume.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool. Short and attractive walk to the old town. Amazing buffet breakfast- a huge array of delicious food - hot/cold/local. Very well worth it!
