Everyone from the owners Eric and Sophie to all the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. They made it so hard for us to leave. We really enjoyed our vacation and we will for sure go back there. Thank you to all of the Lodges staff and a big thank you to Eric and Sophie for make our trip a memorable one. We will always remember this holiday.

My stay in Amani Paje was absolutely amazing. The hotel room was very big and comfortable, the bathroom as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They make sure that you get everything that you need. The breakfast was the best I have eaten in Zanzibar. A lot of choices available and so delicious. The host Anna is so nice and helps you with anything. I truly felt like home there. Would absolutely recommend this place and hope that I can come back soon. Thanks to Anna, Paolo and all the staff!

It was a paradise. A perfect getaway, great amenities for a resort such as tennis court, billiards, darts, table tennis, spa and the best infinity pool I have ever seen! The food was fantastic, service was excellent, good value for the pool villa. It was extraordinary. The property is huge they give cycles to guests and also have buggies. The half board package was the best decision as they had great entertainment each night such as seafood dinner on the beach with live dance etc. Beach is not meant for swimming due to low tide but thats how majority of the beach resorts are in Zanzibar.

We were upgraded to the Mawingu villa which was incredible! We had no reason to leave our villa which had a beautiful outdoor lounge looking out on the beach, a plunge pool, waterfall shower, and plenty of space. The architecture/design was very pleasant. We had amazing service from our dedicated staff member Mambo who organized our meals/space and always added a special touch. The food was phenomenal both healthy and delicious; we continuously looked forward to the next meal which was all covered in the package. They provided a list of additional activities and management went out of their way to help us plan a special day that worked for us; we enjoyed snorkeling, massages, and a sunset cruise. Once you consider everything provided in the package, we felt we received good value. Highly recommend!

The lodge was the perfect size and not overcrowded like you’ll find on the resorts. I’m not exaggerating when I say this, the food was FANTASTIC! All the seafood and veggies are sourced from local fishermen and farms. The pool is perfect and overlooks the Indian Ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Liked it so much that I extended my stay! Loved everything but most especially the staff. They all consistently went above and beyond: they repaired a broken book I had very carefully with tape, found me a unique travel adaptor (I needed an Australian input, which is always annoying!) and one amazing waitress even lent me 5000TSH from her own wallet to pay the remainder of my taxi fair given I didn’t have the right change at the time (repaid of course, but so thoughtful)! Like, wow! A very special shout-out to Rachel the waitress who was always so hospitable and felt more like a lovely friend looking out for me whilst I was otherwise travelling solo—an absolute gem, although I could mention many others!

The staff, location and beach access is what we liked the most about the property. Mary, Maragaret, Priscilla, Anderson, Elias, Fred was amazing and rendered excellent customer service during our entire stay!!!! Mary made sure that we ALWAYS have everything we may have needed. She was very friendly and professional during our stay. By the end of our short stay, Mary felt like family! She will truly be missed! Mary is definitely an valued asset to Fun Beach Hotel!
