Probably, the best experience I had in hotels. Spacious (seriously spacious, especially for Japan) room, all the needed facilities, including big fridge, lounging area, super convenient coffee kettle, and lots of storage space. Very green-conscious. Laundry is on-line payable and controlled. Perfectly located close to all main sites and promenade, but noise insulation is great, so we had fantastic sleep. We had a great deal or the stay and I would definitely stay again when in Yokohama. Btw, if you are arriving by Minatomirai line, head for exit 4, it's just next to the hotel and has elevator (weirdly enough maps send you to the exit 2).

The hotel was definitely older but clean and well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even gave our kids some lollies when we arrived. The buffet dinner was amazing with lots of options and quality food. The sushi was fabulous and the kids loved the warm chocolate sauce with ice-cream and chocolate cake. The onsens were great and it was fabulous having the use of another hotel's onsen with both inside and outside onsens. We loved the traditional rooms, gowns and Japanese beds. The views were lovely too with all the greenery plus we could hear a waterfall.

Location - within walking distance to the Hakone-Yumoto station. Also close to the bus stop (we took the bus from Odawara to the hotel and also from the hotel to Hakone Checkpoint). Food - Dinner and breakfast were amazing. Well prepared and served. Room and Onsen - we got upgraded to room with private onsen bath due to some ongoing renovation. Room was perfect and exactly what we look forward to experience - traditional ryokan and onsen. Staff - all lovely, respectful and accommodating.

Service is great They provide extra amenities such as towels, cups and yukata on the next day even though i didn't ask for it. The tv system interface is exceptional. You will get all kinds of information regarding hotel facilities, check in/out time, video on demand (I like this VOD stuff 😉) and also all tv programs across Japan. You wanna extend your check out time? No problem, just use the tv remote and click to extend by hours (1000yen/hour). You just need to pay during check out later. EASY!
