Our room on the top floor of the lodge was clean with very comfortable beds giving us a good night's sleep. The shower was great as was our cooked breakfast setting us up nicely for the day ahead.

Excellent choices for breakfast cooked and continental. Staff attentive, friendly and helpful. Lovely room with tea and coffee making facilities. Room overlooking the golf course. We were visiting friends who live a short distance from Somerfield Lodge and intend to return later in the year for another short break.

This is a small hotel, with 9 bedrooms plus 5 lodges for dog owners/wheelchair guests. Our room was comfortable with a decent ensuite, plus tea/coffee making facility. The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals were available but we only needed the breakfasts which was included in the room price. Location was very quiet as hotel is tucked away down a narrow road.

Our room was lovely and big, as was the bathroom. Reception referred to it as a 'lodge' I think, and others staying in the row of lodges, had their dogs with them. Room smelled fresh, and it was lovely and clean. Breakfast was lovely, a good choice on the menu and we had a meal at the hotels restaurant - Monroe's, the night before 'Delicious'! Would definitely stay again. Friendly staff too. Weather was a bit rubbish, but it would be so cozy in Autumn/Winter when you expect the weather to be wet!
