Shijo-dori underground passage exit 11 leads straight into the hotel's lobby on floor B1 via stairs. There are laundry rooms with laundromats on floors 2 and 3. They can be used for washing and/or drying. The hotel's location on Shijo-dori street is great, and there are lots of attractions nearby such as Nishiki market, Compasso Teramachi shopping street, Pontocho alley and Gion.AmitIsrael

Less than 5 minutes away by foot from the Nishiki market (which is amazing), so you're bound to make at least a couple of trips there. The room size was much better than other hotels I've stayed at in Japan. I'll surely be booking Mitsui again if I'm back in Kyoto.

Rooms have a very true Japanese touch and the sight over the temple was a real plus. The futons were very confortable even to us, that actually never slept in a futon in our lifes. Staff was very helpful, they borrowed us an umbrella to walk on Kyoto streets on a rainy day. We never tried breakfast but there is a minimarket just next door and a cafeteria very close to the hotel

The hotel itself is placed on very beautiful during Sacura street with a lot of places to eat. Breakfast is perfect. Didn't try Japanese breakfast, only usual one. On the 3d floor, there is Lounge and Patio. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are big and very comfortable.
