I have no complaints whatsoever. Perfect location amazing hotel . My first time visiting Barcelona and it was great . The staff were so friendly and helpful . Definitely recommend. I went on my first solo trip and the hotel is by everything ! ( restaurants , shops , local supermarkets ect )! Will definitely be coming back in the summer. I had room 304 for my birthday and I absolutely loved it with the city view . Want this room again when I come back Haha !

Sagrada Familia

A large Wari village, Pikillaqta was mysteriously abandoned in 1100 AD and soon after set ablaze. Despite ancient attempts at arson, the site is still wonderfully intact. You’ll wander the streets and plazas amongst temples, communal buildings, homes and storage structures – some of the buildings an impressive 4-storeys high!

The steps down the spire are single file and circular and not well lit. Moves slowly and unless you are fit for going down 150 dark circular steps with no hand rail then skip that part. It is also still being constructed so it’s not great for the cleaners pictures as there is scaffolding everywhere as they are still building it. It’s a cool concept, but as a cathedral i

Love every inch of it. Is so unique and colourful, and the light is amazing. A lot of tourists, very crowded. You have different types of tickets, if you want to see one of the tower, you have to pay more and we didn’t know, we found out inside.

From the outside spectacular but the queues were very long when we got there and no shade. We decided not to wait as it was scorching so buy tickets in advance to skip the queues they were working on the outside of the building and had cranes and scaffolding which took from the beauty a little but I guess maintenance is very important. Still, it was wonderful to see

More moving than I expected. Go at the end of the day so the light is really streaming through the stained glass windows. Also leave time to walk around the basilica afterwards. You need to really appreciate all the detail on the exterior.

One of the most majestic, breathtaking, and unforgettable places in the world. The interior is mesmerizing.Take a guided tour. Gaudi was a genius with a child's imagination. Without his artwork (cathedral, private homes, parks) Barcelona would be boring . Try to see them all.

Hire a guide or read up ahead of visiting. I thought it was just pretty weird architecture until the depth of devotion, engineering, and detail it represents was explained by my guide - who was passionate about it. Despite the BIG crowds, I ended up being moved by Gaudi's vision.

The hotel has a very good location. It is near the metro which made it easy to travel around Barcelona. You can see the Sagrada Familia from the bedroom window which made it the perfect view. You can also go up to the rooftop to take really nice photos without the many tourists on the background. Breakfast was good too.

It was a wonderful stay! The room was big enough, and the beds were comfortable. The cleaning lady came in every day and made our beds. The stuff was really helpful. it depends on you, if you want to walk to Sagrada Familia and Saint Paul hospital, it will be the best choice, but if you want to walk to old city town, you might need to call a taxi or it takes 25-30 mints to walk. anyway it is a good hotel and reserve to be added into your hotel list. a good 3 star hotel for your stay in Barcelona.

The apartment is very central near the Sagrada Familia and the key landmarks of Barcelona. Communicating with the company managing these apartments was straightforward and both hosts Sergei and Mikko were responsive to any questions and issues we had during our stay. The key pick-up was very convenient since their office was just on the ground floor of the rented apartment building. We arrived a bit early and they kindly allowed us to drop our luggage before the official check-in time.

First of all, I would like to thank ibis hotel employee Marc Figueras Ferrer, who made our Barcelona holiday a wonderful one. He supported us in every aspect and made a great effort to buy our Park Guel and Sagrada Familia tickets. Food and Cleanliness at the hotel were good and the location is perfect.

If you visit Goudi's Battlo house do so after doing the Barcelona tourist bus trip (buy tickets from the underground Information office (good english plus you can get Sagrada familia tickets for a timed entrance thus avoiding the queues) in Pl Catalunya next to El Corte Ingles){ same ticket can be used on red, blue and green routes although green is all but worthless} and along with ticket/s you get a discount booklet incl 3 Euro off the price of Battlo (21euro entry) which you can then spend on the audio/visual tablet which shows you the furniture which was in each room, desks, tables/chairs and altar etc which greatly enhances the understanding of this dragon house. It also shows where Goudi developed some of the ideas used in the Sagrada Familia. The opportunity to have your photo taken (10 euro photo or 13 euro photo + digital download ) from the highest sharks mouth balcony should be taken as it will probably be one of the few which includes everyone rather than excludes the one holding the camera.
