Set in Lyndhurst and with The Mayflower Theatre reachable within 16 km, The New Forest Inn offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The property is around 16 km from Southampton Guildhall, 18 km from Southampton Cruise Terminal and 32 km from Ageas Bowl. Salisbury Cathedral is 32 km from the inn and Salisbury Train Station is 32 km away.

The breakfast options were plentiful and the food was excellent. There were local beers on tap. The menu is a gastro pub menu and the food was outstanding. Just be aware that the rooms are above a pub, so you will hear the “locals” enjoying a pint! It was, however, quiet by 11:00 or earlier. Manager, Rob, was most accommodating as were Hannah, Alicia, Verity and Kyle. We also enjoyed chatting with the housekeeper, Violette. The New Forest Inn was located near trail heads into the New Forest. Downtown Lyndhurst is a one mile walk and has many shops, food establishments and The New Forest Heritage Museum.

The open fires in the bar and restaurant offer a dinner setting during winter. With its home-cooked food that uses fresh, local ingredients, guests at The White Buck can have a breakfast in the mornings or a Fuller's beer-battered fish and chips at lunch.

The property was perfect, absolutely lovely location. There’s something magical about it. We loved our stay.

Great value for money, and I a lovely stay. The service was excellent, and both dinner and breakfast were superb, way better than expected. The staff were very friendly, particularly Bunny, who couldn’t have been more helpful

The bedrooms were decorated and kitted out beautifully. The inn had an olde worldly feeling at the front and a very modern extension on the back but worked really well. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Rob.

We love staying at Bartley Lodge as it’s a small cosy hotel with great staff and very well located for the New Forest. Dinner quality was great. Breakfast is lovely but could have a bit more variety.

The staff on reception were really helpful. The room was large and comfy, the bathroom was a little tight but nice powerful shower. We appreciated the extra bed for our toddler. The view to the garden was beautiful and we could see the ponies in the field! Dinner was delicious, breakfast was good. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus. Super clean and quiet, we loved it!

Hotel itself was clean, the pool was nice for the kids but only 3 chairs around the pool area so it would benefit from some more seating or area to place belongings. Dinner was good quality. Room 33 - Our bathroom was clean and water pressure good (I had seen comments about this). TV was good and had all the channels we needed.
