By far the greatest accomodation we have ever stayed at. The room was spotless, spacious, and felt much more premium than the wonderfully affordable price it is listed at. Now about our host -- Dimmer is one of the best human beings I have ever met. If kindness was a person, it would be him. From picking us up from the port, to giving us coffee and traditional desserts morning and night, to sharing delicious Durians from his garden with us, to every piece of counsel given about navigating this wonder of an island -- there could not have been a better man to guide us. In all my travels, I have never met someone who has inspired me so much to be kinder and to give love without expectation.
Matraville is an experience. If you are reading this, I would give my highest possible recommendation about staying here. More than the comfort and the warmth of the rooms, you will leave here with a renewed sense of faith in the how beautifully kind humans can be.

Good host (Dong&Siska) for being so informative on suggesting where to go,where to take a ferry,they also provide bike rental.The room is nice and in front of the stay got a good cafe for me to find for breakfast,lunch or dinner..those solo traveller might like it because the cafe got live band performance twice a week and I didn't mind the noise coming for it honestly because I can still manage to sleep peacefully safe and sound due to the whole day spent moving around the island😂

I like my unit is just 10 meter away from the Lake Toba, the unit face the Lake, very fantastic view.
