It was beautiful and the gardens were so beautiful. Location was nice but on arrival day and two days there no hot water. That was the hardest part of our trip.

Whitby Golf Course, where guests receive a discount, adjoins the Inn and its 6th hole passes by the White House's beer garden. The centre of Whitby is a 20-minute walk from the inn. View was amazing from deck room 7. Unique property with restaurant/pub downstairs. No problem with noise. Excellent breakfast.

Malton Rail Station is just a 5-minute walk, and Malton and Norton Golf Club is 10 minutes’ walk away. The North York Moors are a 20-minute drive, and historic York is 30 minutes away by car. Flamingo Land is just 8 miles from The Old Lodge. Great location at the top of the hill above Malton. The Tudor building was sensational, and although our rooms were in the separate location a few streets away, we loved the Old Lodge. The bar and restaurant were great and we really enjoyed our time there.
