Accra is a city with many layers.
Accra is a city with many layers. You need to take time to see all of it and the best advice is to ditch Google and ask the local taxi drivers for what ever you fancy. Be specific and don`t be shocked to find first world restaurants tucked away in obscure run down streets. Stay away from tourist traps as Ghana is expensive as it is and malls charge over and above for things you can have in the city for less.

The sightseeing tours were most enlightening.
The sightseeing tours were most enlightening. Learning about the history of the country and the people was eye opening. It was so much more than what we have been taught in schools and what we see on TV. The people we encountered were very pleasant and welcoming. Visiting the museums and other historic sites was absolutely amazing. The restaurants and the food was delightful. Some of the most beautiful restaurants. As well, Mosques and Churches were always nearby.
I stayed 10 days and visited 5 of the 16 regions. I will return to see and experience more.

Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
I booked a room at TheLennox in Accra through Booking.com, which was confirmed via email and also over the phone by a person named Andy. However, my experience with Andy quickly revealed him to be a dishonest individual.
Moments after arriving at the hotel, I presented my active booking confirmation to Andy, only to find out that he had sold the room to another guest through Airbnb. Despite providing concrete evidence of my prior reservation, Andy callously claimed that the other guest had paid, and therefore, he had given the room to them instead. This behavior is nothing short of deceitful and impudent.
To make matters worse, Andy also attempted to upsell me to a room that was double the price of my original reservation. It is evident that he was trying to coerce me into paying more for accommodation. This kind of manipulative behavior is unacceptable and further underscores his untrustworthiness.
I want to emphasize the unscrupulous role that Andy played in this situation. He knowingly confirmed my reservation, then tried to push me into a more expensive room while giving away my original booking to someone else for his own gain. It's clear that he is not to be trusted.
I write this review as a deeply disappointed customer to warn others about the risk of encountering someone like Andy at TheLennox. Such unethical and dishonest behavior should not be tolerated in the hospitality industry. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment, as you may also fall victim to Andy's fraudulent actions.
Never again.

Excellent holiday in Accra, i wish i had travelled sooner in...
Excellent holiday in Accra, i wish i had travelled sooner in my life and stayed longer than my 2 weeks vacation.
This is an amazing Country at times it emotional and sad :( but we learnt so much more of the history.
we enjoyed everything we did, from sopping on Oxford Street in Osu, to the hustle and bustle of Makola market, the visits to National Museum of Ghana, Elmina Castle, Cape Coast Castle, most of the Forts, Botanical gardens, eating at the local restaurants, we visited too many places to mention
Just everything about this trip was nice.
The property was clean and properly managed. Solomon the property manager was excellent. He communicated with us from booking to check in to the Hotel. He assisted us with the bags to our room and made sure we were settled before leaving. To be truthful I have traveled the world and never had that kind of attention. And kudos to Chester the driver who picked us up from the airport. And also Eric who assisted us in the checkout process.
I was very pleased with the service.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Right down the street from famous bar Republic, from the best jerk spot in Osu called Island, & from the best chicken in Osu Honeysuckle. Not to mention brand new club levers just opened up right next door and gives straight Miami vibes in Ghana. Staff were AMAZING! the General manager was a great guy who helped me oh so generously and Sunday was a Doorman that really helped me and went above and beyond. all the staff were super respectful.
Oh I loved the sleeping there. The bedsheets were sooo soft and fresh. The design is european style, very modern. The room even had a balcony. The kitchen is a normal sized kitchen with a microwave, which I've never seen anywhere else before during my journey in Ghana. Another thing I haven't seen before is nice and cozy rugs next to the bed. Air-condition worked.
The staff is beyond words, anything I needed, they helped me instantly and they were really kind.
This hotel surprised me. The service was excellent. The staff very quickly knew who we were and remembered our room names. The extra effort made by the staff was well noted and I have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels in Ghana and other Countries in Africa. This was far the best experience and we will definitely stay again. Breakfast was made to order and cooked well and good selection. Lunch menu was only average.
The workers were accommodating and extremely friendly! The beach was exceptionally clean and there was great activity to do such as horse back riding with a local Ghanaian called AYI. The pool side was always amazing with great music ! The food was also amazing, there’s was a nice variety of foods! From traditional Ghana dishes to continental meals such as burgers and chips!
Our room was very spacious. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is located in a residential area close to dining and entertainment. Our room was affordable and comfortable for the extended stay we needed to handle both personal and business. The hotel is ideal if you are looking for an economical and clean place to stay while in Ghana.
The superior suite was so lovely and classy. The ambiance alone was refreshing. I love that it’s situated in the heart of Osu. The staff were ready to assist at every step and all other services I engaged just seemed to go beyond my expectation. I will recommend this place for anyone needing a getaway, traveling to Ghana or within Accra! It’s super💯
I usually never write reviews but I really wanted to for the Winford. I was visiting Ghana for work and Joseph, Catherine (hope I spell your name right!) and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make me feel at home. And I did! Looking forward to staying with you guys again next time I visit Ghana. Highly recommend staying here
The stuff in this hotel is everything! All of them are amazing. From reception to security guys and from cleaning to bar stuff, everybody is so helpful and nice.
I also enjoyed the pool and the bar area a lot.
I highly recommend this establishment and it will definitely be my first choice when I am going back to Accra.
The location is great, easy to access from most parts of Accra and just about 12mins from the airport. The staff are very polite and helpful. The security staff outside will voluntarily help with your bags and give you directions on how to get around the city. The apartment is very clean and well-maintained
I booked the apartment for my parents trip . It was my dad’s 70th birthday. They had a wonderful experience particularly with Rashida who was an awesome host checking for their needs from time of arrival till they left.
The hotel is also well suitated - close to major places in Accra the mall, museum etc
No words can explain how I felt during my stay. It was fantastic. Everything was on point. Great location, just 5mins drive from the airport. Beautiful apartment, their restaurant omg I had the best coffee so far in Ghana. I will surely be back. Thanks guys
Mavis was very helpful and very polite. She answered any questions I needed to know. Mavis made our stay at the apartment very great. Great service and good communication. Will surely come back to the apartment anytime i visit Ghana.
Thank you.
We were in the Deluxe Queen, and it was both spacious and comfortable. There is a fridge and microwave in the room, and the beds are more comfortable than most Ghanian beds. The staff are very helpful. We have made this our go-to hotel in Accra.
Stuff all and above to make sure we have a nice stay including solving non hotel issue for us.
ISAAC is simply. An amzing manager.
Should u visit Accra and want a place you feel safe and comfortable, this is the best adress
Staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! The rooms were nice and clean, WIFI is the best we have had in Ghana. Breakfast is amazing and can be delivered to your room. Would 100% recommend.
The apartment is nice, with a clean and conducive environment.
The staff were quick to respond to any of my requests.
I loved it and will always stay there anytime I visit Ghana
The Labadi Beach was a perfect place to call home in Ghana. We did a lot of touring and every evening it felt great to come home to Labadi Beach Hotel.
