Tho host was really friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, castle view from the window. The beach was beautiful and really close. The accomodation was very clean, the whole property was reaalt nice, looked like brand new property. The room was nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable. We really liked our stay there.

Great location and very comfortable accommodation, with all the amenities you could ask for. The owners were great hosts, Pattra was lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. Tge food was also great.

Beautiful property very spacious with great views & attention to detail, was easy to find & a parking space at the rear. Kitchen had all the facilities available including a dishwasher & and little outhouse with a washer if needed, I was left a cake & a bottle for my birthday nice touch! Spacious lounge & lovely decor upstairs & very quiet we all slept in!! Friendly neighbours who also had dogs who all chatted as we sat outside having a cup of tea looking at the castle & sea.

Absolutely everything. Brilliant quirky place to visit but better to stay. Experiencing the village at night once general visitors have left gives it a totally different feel. Loved every second.
Food was amazing in The Hotel and staff were friendly and informative.
A must for any Prisoner fans but one day visit would not do it justice.
Lots of little quirky areas to explore.

Walked up the steepest street in the northern hemisphere which was challenging - took me about 7 minutes. Castle is very good. Nice cheese and beer shop opposite the castle. It was a good base from which to travel to other towns.LouisaIreland - 8.0Scored 8.0

Best beach in the world.
Best beach in the world. We spent 3 days on the beach in Harlech and could have spent much longer. Castle is always spectacular. Travelled around on public transport only, went on Ffestiniog railway. Great couple of shops in Upper Harlech selling all homewares, and fresh food. Groser Harlech great for breakfast pastries and organic produce. Lovely walk around to find the 5 Merion chairs. Woodland walk down from chair 3 to lower road through woodland, a cave and a waterfall in someone's garden.

As the weather wasn’t good.
As the weather wasn’t good. Heavy rain we didn’t get onto the beach as intended or indeed explore the local area as planned. Harlech has a lot to offer as we have been there previously and we intend to visit again. Country side and views are amazing and the Castle restaurant in Harlech does amazing food.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Harlech has a great Castle and an amazing beach (approx 5km long and separated into dog / no dog zones). There is a lot of self catering accommodation but you really need to travel to the next town (20mins) for a bigger shop. Porthmadog has everything. If you want to eat out in Harlech, there's very limited choice (we only found 2 good places, both hotels) Besides the beach and castle, there is golf and good walks. If you after nightlife, probably not for you.

You see the dunes, beach and entire bay and mountains far into the distance. We had a sea view room with unobstructed views. The lodge is a beautiful old house, full of authentic woorden details. I loved all the different wallpapers. Our room was big, very clean and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had many options and was delicious. The couple running the hotel was very friendly and chatty. We enjoyed our time in Harlech very much.YorickNetherlands

The bed was large and very comfortable with good pillows and duvet. It was a good temperature. There are 3 upstairs bedrooms with a shared toilet and washbasin. The lights come on automatically. Downstairs is a shared bathroom with shower and a kitchen where you can make a cup of tea. It is very convenient for Harlech Castle or beach/dunes. There's good free parking.

The kitchen was well equipped with fridge cooker microwave washing machine and even a dishwasher. The location is real getaway from it all so you can take on the stunning scenery. A lake about 2 miles away or in the other direction are some waterfalls. Lots to do in the area Harlech Castle shell island portmerion and snowdon.

The owners are wonderfully gracious — so friendly. They have relatively recently taken ow worship of the property and eager to continue to make it an outstanding place to stay.
