Really friendly staff. Good food and beer.
We hadn’t booked a table for an evening meal but the chef sorted out some food for us which was very good.

We requested a ground floor room because of mobility issues. We were given a room at the end facing the river. This was so easy to come out of the room to the outside area by the river and to go into the restaurant and bar. We were able to park right outside the room so this was excellent for us. Staff were really helpful and always pleasant. Food was also excellent. Setting was amazing. We were accomodated with every thing we asked for.

Cullompton itself seemed devoid of restaurants and a bit run down. We went there because it is well connected by M5 to Exeter, which we wanted to visit. Also near to a lovely National Trust property outside Tiverton.
If you want a lovely evening meal as a change to Padbrook Park, we were recommended to take the old Exeter Road B3181 towards Exeter and stop at a pub on crossroads at Westcott - excellent and very reasonably priced.

We stayed in Butterleigh Inn but had dinner in Tiverton.
We stayed in Butterleigh Inn but had dinner in Tiverton.
There were a few good choices in the town for an evening meal and takeaways. Tiverton is a nice town, we visited it the following day. It has got many art and fashion shops, also cafes and restaurants.

We had a lovely stay. Cottage is charming. Perfect for a couple and a dog. Comfortable and clean and we loved the bedding, towels and crockery in particular! Liked the extra touch of dog stuff because we forgot our dog towel! Thanks Anna.

Cullompton itself is dreadful, however the property is not in Cullompton itself, it is a couple of miles outside. This does not effect the stay at Newcourt Barton whatsoever which is in Langford. Langford and Newcourt Barton is EXCELLENT.

We enjoyed The Donkey Sanctuary VERY much (whole reason for our trip) Absolutely worthwhile FREE day out. We travelled right along the coast road from Lyme Regis to Exmouth a somewhat hairy journey along the narrow lanes. BUT enjoyable never-the-less.
WE ate at The Blacksmiths Arms one night & found a Carvery Pub the second night whilst we were journeying home.
Budleigh Salterton beach was very nice as was out Cream Tea at the beach cafe' in Beer (Duckies)
This was an unusual place. It was a modern hotel built within the last 10 years, tucked away in the back of the town. It was not an old private place, sort of delapidated, but it wasnt a souless hotel chain either, so it was modern like a chain but with nice touches of being a bit quirky, definitely unusual but nice. Quite hard to find at night. They employed a lot of local people, of varying ages, very nice. Id a;ways stay there if i was in the general area. The breakfast was great, big helpings of ham and mushrooms, super.
Excellent host and really friendly and welcoming local customers.
Very comfortable and clean room. Plenty of easy parking right up to room entrance way.
The food is excellent. This is our second stay, and we will be back next year god willing.
Visiting from our home in Florida we stay at many Hotels and B&B's during our time in the UK, I have to say without doubt the full English Breakfast at the Butterleigh In is the best I have ever eaten, best ingredients perfectly cooked.
A warm welcome from friendly reception staff; We had a lovely first-floor room at the front of the building with an extremely comfortable king-size bed. A shower in the spotlessly clean en-suite helped relax us at the end of a tiring drive. We had a first-class evening meal in the hotel dining room, served by attentive waiters. Breakfast was all you'd expect at this quality hotel. A bowl, blanket and mat were provided for our dog, who could be walked within the hotel grounds.
We had a lovely room with a bath and a shower.
The room was very clean.
The hotel is on a main road so there was road noise but nothing to complain about as we had already read the review we have a very good night sleep.
Nothing was to much trouble, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and would return again.
Both breakfast and dinner were very good.
Thank you for an amazing stay.
The location is perfect for travelling to Exeter City shopping or sight seeing. Only a 10 minute drive to Tiverton or Cullompton for your local amenities.
Beautiful surroundings and space especially for our 2 small dogs. Burnhaies provided a very comfortable stay and had everything we needed to hand. Hils made us most welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
We look forward to visiting again.
on arrival the staff were super friendly, advising me of all the hotel’s amenities. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. The WiFi was excellent and the television was a good size and in a good placed ie not neck breaking to watch. As a predominantly solo traveler it’s the simple things that matter and this hotel had it all. It’s now in my favorites.
Breakfast was excellent, staff were very helpful nothing was a bother. Room was clean presented as expected, bed was comfortable slept well. Hotel inside and out was spotless. Used the restaurant first night food was excellent and well priced. Would recommend and return if I were back in the area. Thank you
Lovely spacious clean house. Perfect for a weekend get away. The location was perfect, it was in a tranquil environment but easily accessible to Cullompton town.
Sandra has thought of all the provisions to take it from a good stay to a great stay.
I would have loved to stay longer.
Everything went well. Dinner and breakfast were well prepared and served by very friendly staff. Room, while basic and not full of character, was clean and what we hoped for and expected in a hotel close by the motorway.
Lovely location but be aware that it is remote. The building is an old Devon farmhouse and very beautiful and as it is a working farm I woke up in the morning to the sound of the cows in the field - vey peaceful
The family who run this hotel and restaurant go out of their way to welcome you.
We had dinner in the bar area (we arrived too late for the restaurant).
The breakfast was first class.
The host was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough during my visit.
Very clean, modern room & bathroom, easy parking outside the hotel and 2 minutes off M5.
