The staff were really helpful even though a strike cancelled all the flights. They helped everyone, answered all of our questions. The bar was open when we arrived at 11pm which was great. We didn’t have breakfast, but went and had a look and it looked and smelt great.
Conveniently situated just 400 metres from Marseille Airport, this hotel offers modern accommodation. It provides free WiFi access in the entire hotel.

The owner was able to arrange the room earlier, so we could drop our luggage and visit the city center. Excellent communication with the owner, excellent location if you have an early flight

Just needed to stay the one night to be at the airport for early flight.
Warm and sunny so sat outside the evening before at the sister Hotel Ibis pool and enjoyed a lovely dinner there too.
No restaurant/pool at the Ibis Budget but this sister hotel is just next door.
Rooms basic, clean and comfortable and staff were fun and friendly.
Ideal for early am flight. Would definitely recommend for this purpose.

Small town with nothing.
Small town with nothing. In the city center, we ended up in an area where Arab men sat in every cafe and drank coffee in the middle of the working day. We did not see women in this area. It was very disturbing.

Good value, restaurant and bar.
Good value, restaurant and bar. About a 15 minute walk to airport; important for very early flights. Nice helpful staff . A friend of ours went to check in next door at the blue IBIS, cancelled and walked over here and was pleased for a little more money. I did not explore the area or use the pool as I had an early morning flight.

Marignane is the armpit of Marseille.
Marignane is the armpit of Marseille. It is jammed between the airport and the brackish pond. Mosquitoes as big as wasps. Other biting bugs. But lots of marsh wildlife. Peaceful near the pond. Marignane has everything you need. Very industrial. Unlike Auvergne and France away from the coast. The Marseilleise drive like maniacs: always in a hurry, too fast, tailgating, and it takes a lot of getting used to the road signage. Good luck if you plan to drive into the city of Marseille! Better park outside and take the subway in.
It is a very pleasant hotel. It is very very quiet with carpets on the corridors and parquet (or imitation probably) in the rooms which is precisely as it should be. The staff are surprisingly nice and friendly. Of course, this is a place to stay when you travel the next day, this is not a good base for a city trip to Marseille which is relatively far and around the hotel there is nothing - other than the airport. The food is also good and so is the breakfast which starts very early so they think of you as a traveller.
The hotel is basically at the airport, unlike some hotels that claim to be "airport" hotels. It's a short walk outside of the main terminals, maybe 8 -12 minutes depending on your speed. You can also take an airport luggage trolley to the hotel, as there is some trolley collection (although, this may not be official, but it seems that enough people do it).
The rooms were exactly as described. Basic but clean. Good for one night to catch trains/buses and so on in the morning.
I booked for a one night stay to be close to the airport and wish I could have stayed longer. The room I was in was very nicely decorated and the breakfast in the morning was exceptional, real French style with fresh breads, yoghurts, butter etc. A welcome change from many hotel breakfasts nowadays. Unfortunately I was unable to operate the coffee machine-probably my fault! -so had to make do with a hot chocolate instead.
It's super close to the airport and even with luggages it would be easy to walk. They have a free transfer but personally, it would be a crime to start an engine for a short distance, unless you really need some help with walking with luggage. I don't understand why this place got this much of negative reviews but my experience was almost perfect. It's certainly a price/performance deal in Marseille airport surroundings.
This hotel is in a great location just a 10 minute walk from the Marseille airport in Vitrolle. The hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the airport, bus and train stations, so that is a real plus! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The price was quite reasonable. Breakfast is offered at a reasonable price, but we didn't use it because we had an early flight and grabbed something at the airport.
Excellent location, it is literally 10 min walking to the airport. Which is great if you need to catch an early flight.
There is no shuttle service.
The room is small yet big for French standards.
It has a complete bathroom although the shower is in the room.
I would go to this hotel again if I have to take a flight early in the morning.
It’s clean, new and what you expect from an ibis but it’s very very expensive for the location and with very poor options to get to the property it is better to book a hotel at the airport .. although do not expect to be able to get into the city as there are no real routes in and out and a taxi will cost you €100+~
The host was great received us despite the changes in our schedule.
The place is very clean, many commodities available.
Comfortable bed.
Excellent Air conditioner.
Cute terrace with a small table and chairs to chill out.
Location is 5 minutes drive to the Marseille airport.
We chose the hotel due to location close to the airport for an early flight, only a 10min walk, with a free shuttle also available.
The fact they had a small pool was a big bonus, which we spend 2hrs at in the evening.
We ate in the restaurant which was also excellent.
General condition of apartment - any signs of long usage term, location is great - literally two steps from center of Marignane, everything was clean. Cozy table with two chairs on the entrance in apartment.
The owner so lovely and helpful. Beautiful property with terrace, pool and place to workout. Well equipped kitchen. And owner graciously called us a taxi to the airport.
