Staff is very helpful and polite. They gave us a discount on the scooter rental, because we used it only half a day. Food/breakfast is good and the view from the restaurant and rooms facing the river is gorgeous. Perfect location in town. Good laundry service: 1$ per kilo.
Privada Lodge - Historic Hotel in Kratie provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a bar and a shared lounge.

First of all, to grasp the beauty of the place you have to consider that it is a real homestay.
The host and his family are more than welcoming and happy to help the guests (e.g. bus bookings for next destination; the host has a beautiful tuktuk to ride you to the city center which is a couple of km far).
We had a tuk-tuk countryside full-day tour which was one of the best and authentical experience in our whole trip (forget about those touristic tours offered by other local agencies) with a beautiful and secret sunset spot on the Mekong river, maybe the best of our lives.
You can have breakfast or dinner at his place and this allows you to enjoy a cozy and nice atmosphere with other guests and with his family and especially with his daughters, we had a beautiful language and cultural exchange with them, especially with Nicka (who was so funny and cute!), showing and teaching us some traditional dances, they were amazing!
Of course you have a shared bathroom and a shared shower (cold shower, but in February it was definitely not a problem) and the rooms are basic but clean, we would recommend ear plugs because of a tipical local market in the street in front of the place, which again is really nice to experience!
Definitely worth the price but moreover the experience!!
Set just 38 km from The 100-Column Pagoda, Dary's Village Guesthouse & Restaurant provides accommodation in Phumĭ Chŏng Kaôh with access to a bar, a shared lounge, as well as full-day security.

Property was very new which was nice, facilities very clean and comfortable. It’s about 30 min walk from the bus station, however this was not an issue as there is a lovely riverside walk or you can hire bikes. Lovely sunset over the Mekong on your doorstep. Owners arranged bike hire and took me to the night bus, they were also very helpful with local knowledge.

Great location, owner very friendly and helpful. Beautiful room very comfortable too. The restaurant provides very nice meals.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
I loved everything about this guesthouse from the location to the wonderful staff. Being on the Mekong was a fabulous part of my experience here in Kratie. The food and drinks were great and inexpensive. The best part of staying here was that it is a teaching guesthouse for those interested in entering the hospitality industry. I would definitely recommend staying here and I will if I do return again!
Excellent location right by the river and close to the market. Friendly but a bit inexperienced staff. Spotless clean room. Good WiFi. Access to a common balcony. Restaurant downstairs. Bicycles and motorbikes can be rented next door.
Fantastic location, with views of the river from the restaurant and bar area. Room was large & spotless - loved the outside space. AC kept us very cool. Comfortable bed. The most wonderful staff. 10/10 food. Can’t fault it!
I returned after my first stay. This really is a proper traditional nice hostel. There’s life in the dorm, it’s all run by a family with children that run around, tours can be booked here. The bed was cosy and the view from the balcony stunning. There’s lockers provided and the WiFi was strong enough to work. If in Kratie and on a budget this is definitely a very good choice, also location wise.
Spotlessly clean. Spacious rooms. Fab location right on the river. Friendly and helpful staff. Air con and WiFi worked fine. Food was delicious and good value.
The location is great: you are close to the river, close to the market, and surrounded by places to eat.
The staff is very friendly and always greets you with a smile.
The guesthouse is beautiful, and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. There's AC, a fan, a moskito net in good condition.
The terrace is very pretty and ideal to unwind after a long day of cycling.
Great location, rooms are basic but comfortable and have everything you need. There is a restaurant which does really nice and cheap food and also close to other restaurants and shops. They offer dolphin tours.
Superb location overlooking the Mekong River with the best sunset views in town.
Cheerful and helpful staff.
Decent sized room. Very clean and quiet.
Good travel advice and ticket service.
Good food served in the restaurant.
