Bateau, hotel in Ouistreham

A comfortable boat close to Plage La Redoute, Bateau offers a base for a stress-free stay in Ouistreham.

Great location for touring the D Day beaches. Very close to the International Ferry Port. Staying on a boat is a different, quirky experience.

Exceptionnel bateau maison reine mathilde, hotel in Ouistreham

Exceptionnel bateau maison reine mathilde, a property with a bar, is located in Ouistreham, 2 km from Riva-Bella Beach, 16 km from Botanical Garden of Caen, as well as 17 km from Caen Station.

Location was good as it was accessible to the War memorial districts which we wanted to see. The 4 berth was adequate for the 2 of us but would have been cramped for 4. The boat was accessible for the ferry.

We rented the boat as a cheap stayover to catch an early ferry the next morning - for which the location is *perfect*. 3 minutes drive by car to the ferry port. For the price you cannot expect a 3/4 star hotel - but it was clear effort had been made to make the stay comfortable,

The idea of being on a boat rather than a hotel.

Our room at the back was comfortable and quiet. It had a bath and it was clean. Evening meal was great and the staff were lovely. Great hotel for the boat the next day.

Great stopping place after coming off Brittany Ferries. Self check in which is particularly good when the boat is late in arriving. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Will certainly stay again.

Easy to find and get into after getting off the boat. Right next to the port. Basic but clean with en suite

The young lady on Reception, and other bar work, was exceptional! Polite, humorous and always smiling. A gem. The hotel could not be closer to the ferry so perfect for the early morning boat .

Opening the box containing the key to the boat was very difficult. A passerby had better luck and was able to open it otherwise I'd have had to sleep elsewhere! Opening it the next morning was impossible despite 10 minutes of continual effort. I had to leave the key on top of the box in plain view of anybody going by. Locating the boat was tricky as the boat's name is on the back of the boat where it can't be seen. Again locals helped me and I was able to locate the boat.
