Not only because the history of La Higuera, but because of this hostel. And the staff, they are super good. This is in the middle of nowhere, to get here you take a taxi from Vallagrande. Such an adventure. There is no wi-fi here, which is good. Time goes slowly here. We stayed here for five days and we got really relaxed and we lowered our tempo by watchingthe hummingbirds and listen to the wind or the rain. Good food and drinks. Beds are good. The rooms are simple but clean. Only one shared toilet and (hot)shower but as we were more or less the only guests during our stay.
