Everything just surpassed all our expectations. Especially our host Frederic - he was one of the nicest most hospitable hosts we've ever encountered. We honestly didn't want to leave. The view from the balcony was spectacular, the apartment is spacious and cozy, very well-designed by Frederic himself. And the food in the restaurant downstairs is marvellous. I will return back to stay here for sure. You know when you like something so much, that you want to share it with the whole world? That's the deal with this Vieux Chalet - they deserve all the recognition and success possible!

A nice and cozy apartment with everything one could need in it, even an Raclette-Apparat 🤤 the location is quite and green, you have everything you need in the nearby Supermarket. Within an hour of reach with the car you have a lot of possibilities and attractions. And also a lot of hiking trails nearby.

We stayed 4 nights: Sept 21 - Sept 24. New apartment building, modern, clean, spacious rooms, large kitchen island and dining table, large bedroom, large living/sitting area, balcony with view, next door to Coop supermarket, free car park under apartment building, elevator, 1.5 baths, many storage cabinets/closets. Good location, very well equipped, and very clean. The tarasse is nice, sunny so it was possible to sit outside even in the winter. Ground floor with no steps whatsoever was very nice for my elderly mum.

The host sent a message at the day with the links to the instruction videos. In fact the videos were so helpful and we could easily find the key and get into the room without any problems. The location was really wonderful - we could enjoy the amazing mountain view and go to the bath on foot in 10 minutes.

Conveniently located in the beautiful village of Charmey. There are lots of amazing hikes and sights to see in the area. Though it is up the hill a little, it is easy to get in and out and the apartment faces beautiful mountains. It was big enough for our family of 4 to stay comfortably, especially since it has 2 toilets and a shower.

The apartment is very nice and cozy. The view outside from the balcony is also very charming. You can see people outside doing paragliding. The neighborhood is quiet and good for relaxing. Cable car and hiking area is nearby and just walkable. Even though the owner is not around, he made sure to assist us and respond to our queries as soon as possible. We would love to stay here again.

Great location for visiting the Maison Cailler and Gruyere village. Clean spacious and organised.
