I had everything needed for a comfortable & peaceful place to stay while exploring the island. A short walk to a super market, an ATM & a pharmacy... though the nearby Mini Mercado Sousa was more fun to explore & had quite a variety of necessary household goods. On a practical note, having a washer/dryer was very convenient & the Wi-Fi was excellent. The park along the harbor is a nice place to walk or sit & watch the boats; there is also an exercise / children's playground available on the far side. Mara was an excellent host with many good recommendations for places to explore. Locally can wholeheartedly recommend Baia W for a fresh, friendly meal; the squib was tender & savory. Only a few minutes drive to downtown Angra to see the architecture & tourist shopping, or drive the other way to see the cheese factory, Queijo Vaquinha & have samples, a drink & or a sandwich with a pleasant atmosphere & blue water view.
