The lodge is huge and totally private on top of a hill overlooking the valley and the waterfalls. The hosts Candy & Rawiri went out of their way to show us around the property, including a creek nearby where you can spot the glowworms at night. It’s a gravel road driving to property from Opononi but it’s well maintained and suitable for 2WD. Spend at least a couple of nights there, you won’t be disappointed!

It was an incredible time in a very beautiful and serene place. The host was so attentive and helpful, while also allowing us absolute privacy. All the amenities were top of the line and very well thought out. Even though it was a higher cost per night we still felt like it was great value for money. After arriving we instantly changed our plans to book another night. Would 100% recommend this place to couples and people who want a destination holiday.

'Noni's House' Coastal Opononi Hokianga has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Opononi, 1.6 km from Koutu Boulders Beach. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. All rooms have a balcony with views of the mountain. Host was friendly. Accommodations were nice. Better than any commercial options in the area. Great value.
