The views were breathtaking, they had streaming services so we could watch movies. The pool was spectacular. The owner was very friendly and offered a tuk tuk service to the town and train pick up...so good. Just loved the entire experience

From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. everyone was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation itself was top-notch—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail, from the bedding to the amenities, reflected a commitment to quality and comfort. It felt more like a home away from home than just a hotel rooms.definitely we will back.

We stayed one night at The Palace Eco Cottage in Ella and absolutely loved it. The cottage sits high up in the hills, and the view over the valley and surrounding landscape is simply stunning—one of those places where you just stop and take it all in. The room was very spacious, spotless, and felt incredibly peaceful. We would recommend it for the setting alone, but what truly makes this place special is the owner. She is such a dedicated, warm, and genuinely friendly person, and you can feel her attention to detail in everything—from the rooms to the food. We had an incredible breakfast with eggs, fresh vegetables, fruits, and delicious sweet treats. Honestly, it was one of the best breakfasts we had during our entire trip in Sri Lanka. She also offered us lunch and dinner—completely free of charge—which was unbelievably kind. We had already made plans in town, so we didn’t get to try it, but if breakfast was any indication, it must be amazing as well. A real highlight was the family’s generosity in offering to drive us to Ella town in their tuk tuk whenever we needed, again free of charge. It made everything so easy and added such a personal touch to the stay. All in all, we can’t recommend The Palace Eco Cottage enough. A beautiful place with incredible hospitality—if you’re coming to Ella, this is truly a wonderful spot to stay.

If you enjoy stays that connect you to your surroundings, this is a gem I’d highly recommend. The hosts are truly wonderful. The mother and daughters are warm, hospitable and make you feel right at home. Their kindness makes the stay even more special. The home-cooked food, especially by the mother, is delicious. We ended up eating at the property more often than in town because it was simply better than most restaurants. A beautiful stay, hosted by beautiful people!
