Staff were very attentive and kind. One of the places I’ve felt the most comfortable staying in Sri Lanka. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting hiriketiya. Property is a few minutes walk from popular restaurants and a 15 min walk from hiriketiya beach making it quiet and peaceful for you to rest. If ever, you can also relax on the lounge chairs and your private pool. Overall, 10/10 and would stay here again.

Situated in Mirissa, within 800 metres of Mirissa Beach and 35 km of Galle International Cricket Stadium, Ruwan Jungle Homestay features accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Ruwan and his family couldn’t have made us feel more welcome to their lovely Homestay. Nothing was too much trouble. The room had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The shower was powerful and in the heat a welcome relief. Our room was on the small side but this wasn’t a problem as the outside space had a hammock, table and chairs. Breakfast was served daily by Ruwan and his lovely daughter. It was fresh and plentiful and always delivered with a big smile. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t great and took some getting used to. Ruwan did kindly offer to change our room but we declined as we didn’t want to inconvenience him with another room to clean. However it is only fair to share this information. We stayed 4 Nights with Ruwan and his family and everyday he checked on our welfare, if we needed anything or a ride anywhere. He organised a wonderful Whale watching trip for us, one we would recommend, as a must when in this area. Ruwan kindly cooked us a delicious Sri Lanka. Fish supper despite his wife only day’s earlier giving birth to their son. On New Years Day the family invited us for breakfast in their home. The food was plentiful, delicious and a reflection of this family’s kindness and willingness to share their hospitality with us. I urge Anyone in this area to visit Ruwan and his family if wanting an authentic experience. Ruwan, thank you , we will be back. You are in our hearts forever. Xox

The staff were so kind and welcoming. The food was incredible and they were extremely accommodating to vegan dietary requirements. The best Sri Lankan curry I had during my whole trip! Our room was stunning and really clean. Such a comfortable bed. The location right on the beach meant you could relax to the sound of the waves all day and we got to see Turtles near the shore in the evening. You are also only a few minutes walk from Coconut Hill. There is a tuk tuk driver next door who we were able to use easily to get around Mirissa. Wish we could have stayed for longer!

The villa features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The Villas are superb. It's really clean and very new. There are two villas with one sharing pool. However, our entire stay felt like we had the pool to ourselves. Walking distance from the beach, about 12 minutes. The owners are very accommodating and helpful. They serve the best Sri Lankan food we have had in our entire stay in Sri Lanka.
