It truly was healing to our bodies that were a bit worn out from travel. Yes, stay here! We hope to stay longer next time. It was a little hard to find. Yet, a kind gentleman was watching out for us and directed us.

Good location, close enough to JR Mito station, but far enough to be a quiet neighborhood. We didn't use it, but there was a bike available, e.g. for shopping at the nearby supermarket. There are instructions for the appliances in English. The rooms were very nice and clean.

The entire house was nicely designed. Very open concept layout and spacious. The balcony was outstanding for breakfast on a sunny day. Check in was smooth and parking was spacious.

It is definitely not a yurt and more of a cottage, but as attractive as the pictures show. When the big doors open, the picture windows look at the mountains. The construction uses natural shape of wood. All the facilities are new, modern, and quite clean. Our hostess picked us up from the train station and gave us a quick tour of town before dropping us off and making sure we knew how everything worked. She left us some gorgeous pastries. Communication prior to arrival and after was excellent. It was pouring rain on the morning of our departure and we were provided a ride to the station! Exceptional accommodations and service.

The property offers quiet street views. Mr.Shuji is very nice and kind host. His property is very clean, cozy, and convenient to get a bus or walk to shops to buy something to eat. Toilet is clean and functional. Washroom is quite large with one bathtub. We got 2 bed rooms and 1 Japanese dinning room with Japanese style table that has a heater under it. Mr.Shuji always stays around a house, so don’t worry. He can communicate in English as well. We’re so happy to choose this place for staying a night in Nikko.
