Despite our late arrival, Ben and his wife graciously waited for us and gave us a thorough tour of the home. The house was impeccably clean and exactly as described in the listing. We especially enjoyed the hot Onsen bath, which was a fantastic addition to our stay. We truly appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail. Highly recommended..

The host was exceptional and went well above and beyond for us several times. Upon arrival we had a detailed description of how everything in the house worked, as well as maps of town and bus schedules so we could get around easily, and recommendations of where to eat. The house is very well maintained and was way larger than expected, was clean and had heaters in every room and is full of history. Each bicycle we used was personally adjusted for each of our heights, and the host assisted us with an unplanned trip into another part of town when otherwise we would have been out of luck. It felt like staying in a part of history and we were very privileged to have been allowed to stay there.

So impressed with this property. It’s modern, clean and comfortable and had just about everything we needed. It’s such a lovely place to relax and rewind with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji (if you’re lucky with the weather). The location is slightly far from the main area if you don’t have a car, but the property owner was so kind to hire taxis for us when we needed them.
