Arwen and Russ are the most considerate hosts - you’re greeted by a hamper with delicious local products, there’s milk and butter in the fridge and they even provide bread, jam, eggs and cereals, so you don’t have to worry about your breakfasts at all. Arwen was very helpful describing how to find the cottage if you arrive by public transport and answered all my questions immediately. The little garden behind the cottage has a lovely view and is a great place for breakfast or tea on a warm day. Since the cottage has three floors and the en suite is on the top floor, having a separate outside bathroom on the bottom (kitchen/garden) level was a very pleasant surprise. There are lots of nice walks around Wotton-under-Edge, several of which are described in the folder with informations about the cottage and the town. There are even hiking maps that you can take with you on a hike. I’ll definitely be back!

A Christmas tree and decorations were a lovely touch as was a complimentary breakfast hamper. Great communication with the owner and plenty of information about the cottage, the village and the surrounding area in the cottage.
