Great stay for a couple looking for a chilled out, relaxing, super clean place with hot tub. Very private. Loved the hot tub. Bed was very comfortable and the whole place was just lovely. First day we chilled in the lodge and hot tub with beer and Prosecco and ate dinner at the Plough. Can highly recommend, the food was lovely and 10% discount was added bonus. Second day we visited Alton Towers which was good fun but we looked forward to our return to go in the hot tub and relax our aching legs. Games and books were to hand in the cupboard but we just didn’t get time… we spent ages in the tub talking and reminiscing ❤️ it was our 22nd wedding anniversary and our hosts had kindly left us a card and bottle of cava which was very nice, kind and unexpected touch. Shower was good. Robes were provided, hairdryer too. You could easily cook a meal in the kitchenette and whilst small it has everything needed. We didn’t cook though as we ate out and had snacks and goodies for the evening. Super stay and highly recommended. We thought it exceptional value for money.

Margeret met us the evening as we arrived a little late - She was very keen and helpful and gave us brilliant little place to go for supper. Nice charming little wood cottage behind the main house - Almost seems like you are hidden in a little woodland behind the house. Nice cabin atmosphere will definitely go back if I ever had the opportunity again.

We couldn’t have found a more charming cottage in a more convenient location if we had tried. Rob is a great host - attentive and super hospitable. We recommend Gamul Place highly, with no reservations whatsoever.

The cottage was the perfect romantic escape. From the moment we arrived, we felt tucked away in our own little haven of peace and comfort. The cozy atmosphere, thoughtful touches, and serene surroundings made it feel so special. The highlight was definitely the hot tub — relaxing together under the stars with a glass of wine was pure magic. Everything was spotless, beautifully maintained, and created the ideal setting for a romantic getaway. We left with unforgettable memories and can’t wait to return.
