The appartment in half of a semi-detached house is spacious, clean and comfortable. The young couple and their children speak English fluently, are friendly and very communicative. It is a good place to live with Romanians and have some more 'interaction with the locals' than in a hotel our guest house. They know what is worth discovering in Alba Iulia and the surrounding area (and our stay here was far too short...). Ha! And after two weeks of travelling, it was nice to have our laundry done here! And for those interesd from the Low Countries: the former village of Baranbantia, where settlers from Flemish or Walloon Brabant once settled, is just on the other side of the main road. And for those interested in Polish history: the tomb of Izabela Jagiellonka is located in the church on the citadel.

The house is beautifully build in Rumanian style with many antique decorative touches but also combined with a luxurious bathroom. There were two woodstoves present so plenty of warmth and it would be very difficult not to feel perfectly at home here. We came later than planned but that was no problem with our host Simona who was also very helpfull with tips for restaurants. The house is very clean and more spacious than appears on the photos. Whenever I am in the vicinity I will definately stay here again. The area is very quiet but supermarket is just down the street and in a shot drive there are great great restaurants in the wonderful city of Alba Lulia (we advice La Conac, almost Michelin quality fine dining for a pleasent price, a tip from Simona)
