The cottage is very authentic and peaceful. The garden is beautiful and full of edible fruits and herbs. The view from the far end of the garden is something straight out of a fairytale : the view is a sight to behold and never forget. Be very careful if you have small children (which I don't) the garden has a gate to the far end so the way to the cliff is not open but make sure to keep in mind that beyond the gate there is +- 20 meter of beautiful garden but then comes a very deep cliff. Make sure to keep watch and be careful there because the cliff is 10 meter + deep and ends with sharp rocks. This offcourse is not criticism, the cliff is absolutely beautiful, I just want to make sure that visitors keep this in mind. The Azores are extremely beautiful and have a very wide variety of natural wonders to behold but do not understimate the cliffs and the ocean. What did I enjoy the most? That is a difficult question because there is so much to choose from. But to name a few : the couple that manages the cottage is extremely friendly and also very forgiving. I made a few dumb mistakes like losing the key on the first day, leaving the cottage an hour late on departure, usually both of these mistakes would have cost me some problems and money but the key situation was solved within 1 hour : The host came to bring a new key, was very friendly and just laughed about the fact I was able to lose a key so fast and then spent some time telling me interesting facts about the island and the local culture and recommended some nice places to visit, showed me how to recognise a ripe fig from the tree and I ate them every day from that point on and he did not charge any money for the lost key and even refused it when I offered it. This by the way is a common thing on the island which surprised me pleasantly : the people aren't moneygrabbing greedy money wolves, on the contrary : they are very modest and have great hospitality.

This is a cute, comfortable, well-remodeled home in a convenient part of Sao Miguel. We stayed as a family of 4, and my daughter said it was her favorite stay ever. The outdoor garden and showers are a nice touch coming back from the nearby beach. The host Ines is a wonderful person and was so helpful, she gave us directions, fresh bananas from her tree, and even helped get us an item we had left behind!

This place is an absolute gem! The house is stunning, the location perfect, and the atmosphere peaceful. The heated pool with ocean views was easily my favorite part. You’re just a short drive from Ponta Delgada, 5 minutes from Populo Beach for surfing, and within easy reach of the whole island. Plus, there are two natural pools right next door. Everything about our stay was incredible. A huge thank you to our host Teresa, for making everything about our stay so special. It felt like a home away from home. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Casa Cayenne is such a cozy and great place to stay at, it is really close to Ponta Delgada center by car, and you have everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. Plus it's on a pineapple greenhouse plantation, making it super unique! The garden on site from which you can pick herbs and salad is a really great addition, as is the pineapple culture tour given by Luis. Luis and Noelia are such great hosts, super welcoming ! Communication was fast and easy. Would recommend to anyone wishing to spend a few days on Sao Miguel Island.

The place is wonderful. We had a great time. It's spacious, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en-suite, a big dining room, kitchen area and a living room. There's also a garden, where had a bbq. Great place to stay for a family, enough beds for six. Most of all I have to emphasize the hosts. Ana and Ricardo were so welcoming, even took us around their pineapple plantation. We felt like VIPs. And at the end, I managed to forget my mobile phone at the house, couldn't get back in because we left the key inside and it was locked already, so while we went to the airport, to check-in, they got the phone and brought it to the airport. If they hadn't, I would have probably missed the flight. Can't recommend the place enough.

This is a fantastic place and the couple who run it are wonderfully caring. Everything worked perfectly. The only sad thing was that we had so little time there, only one night, as we had to catch an early morning flight. So we never saw the garden in daylight.

The House is made of beautiful black Lavastone. It gives a typical azorean Ambiente! The interior ist very thoughtful and beautiful, it includes everything you need. From the garden you have a great View of the Ocean and the extinct volcano Fogo. The Hostess is the most warm hearted, kindest Person. Please always stick to her recommendations, she gives the best ones! It was the most relaxing and adventurous experience, thanks to Helena. Thank you very much :)
