We had a comfortable, spacious apartment with a balcony giving stunning views along the coast to Paul do Mar and of the sunset. The owners, Patricia and Luis, couldn’t have done more to make our stay special. Such a lovely, interesting couple. Both involved in the arts, they have a beautiful communal main house and garden to which we had access whenever we wanted. We were so interested to find out about Patricia’s art and stories of what life was like growing up in Madeira. All this set in a delightful village.

We spent three incredible nights at Quinta Marefe and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The house is perfectly nestled between the mountains and the Atlantic, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The combination of rustic charm and modern comfort made it feel so inviting, and the attention to detail was exceptional. One of our favorite moments was enjoying the BBQ—we had amazing evenings grilling and soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy quality time together. The location was also ideal, with hiking trails nearby and the picturesque village of Paul do Mar just a short stroll away. Quinta Marefe is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to relax, explore, and make unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return!

Basically every aspect of the accommodation is thoroughly refined. The host, Sérgio, meets you personally, gives some useful tips and how-to's on Madeira. We were welcomed with the local surprising iteration of banana. Sérgio speaks very good English and seems highly motivated to help his guests. Moreover, there are a lot of utilities in the apartment, which make life much more enjoyable. I never tried sticks for walking, but, as Sérgio gave the opportunity, I was shocked how easier the hikes are. The apartment feels absolutely new, the kitchen has all you could wish for, the bathroom is gigantic. 10/10

Location is fantastic! Short walk to the sea front and restraunts. Jardim Do Mar is a great little village and we would stay there again. The house was clean and felt homely. Communication with the staff was clear and helpful when checking in and out.

Lovely comfortable apartment with fantastic views over the sea. Pretty village setting. We had a very peaceful few days stay gazing at the sea.. Everyting was good. Carrying luggage and shopping from the village car park down steps and the steps to the bedroom inside the apartment might be a drawback for some but did not bother us at all.

The property is located in a small village on the south-west coast of Madeira. Is located near the public parking (the property has it’s own parking spot, but it will require some skills to reach it (the road is narrow, a Seat Ibiza barely made it without a any scratches). Everything else is perfect. The village is quiet and beautiful. You have Joe’s Bar close to this property and you can drink a poncha and have some bolo do caco😌 oh, btw, there a hot tub 😍😍

Jardin do Mar it is a quiet and picturesque village. The accommodation is right in the center of the village. It is a house that is equipped with everything you could need for a stay. The staff is prompt when there are some problems. For example, the hair dryer broke, it was replaced the 2nd day. It is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped.

I love this house located in small village where every morning comes lady who sell fresh pastries. House was very clean, there is even a washing machine, it´s spacious with a nice outside place where you can sit and enjoy the sun and watching lizards :) There was no problem with a parking spot and every night I was parking almost right next to the house. I spent my whole week at this place and was driving around an island. It was perfect location.
